The staff were really kind and helpful and the location was ideal.

The location was ideal accessible to shops, restaurants, sea front and public transport. Also very secure and safe.

The photos of the cottage were embellished. Unfortunately the cottage was very shabby and dated. Household wiring was very poor and the general maintenance of furnishing was lacking.

Excellent location, safe, spacious and clean apartment.

Excellent location close to market, restaurants and sea point promenade, spacious and clean apartment with all the amenities.

Bed and beddings could be improved. Single beds and mattresses joined together to make double bed.

A solid place to take your family

The housekeeper was very friendly and patient with our requests. The plave was very spacious and clean and felt secure the whole time.

It could use a laundry machine. There is bad accessibility issues since the room is separated by a flight of stairs

Second stay here. Love the spaciousness of the accommodation and the thoughtful design features and art work. Great location and very helpful staff. (Another bonus is the fact that the property is not impacted by loadshedding). Will re book if we visit Cape Town again

Nice spot to explore from

Loved my little Cottage in the garden, very quiet but short walk down to the coast road, restaurants, shops etc. Comfortable bed. Nice sitting area in the garden just by my door

Slight smell of damp/fustyness in the cupboards. The seal on the bathroom has black mould on, it could do with taking out and redoing.

It was central and the staff were friendly. There was solar power which was great for load shedding.

The owner of the property was rude and dismissive. The bathroom was very small. The carpet in the bedroom smelled as if a cat had urinated on it. On arrival the key to our room didn’t work and as well as the key to the gate. They had to find alternative keys to give us.

Great location, definitely value for money and a brilliant host.

The property is in good condition albeit old. They have all needed amenities including solar so you don’t know there is load-shedding! The host is incredibly accommodating and it’s definitely huge value for money, plus brilliant location with off street parking - huge wine. we stayed in apartment one with three bedrooms.

My only challenge was there are two rooms with two single beds including the master and one room with a small twin/double. My husband and I slept in single beds (very hard beds) and I had to borrow a pillow from a friend as the pillows were flat. I’m certain the host can sort this, I didn’t have a chance to ask for help with this but I have no doubt this is an easy fix.

Our stay at Barry Hall was one of the best memories. We were all happier and recommended the place to some of our friend

The location, the sense of home, the cleanliness and the fact that it had everything that we wanted, including kind and helpful staff.

There was nothing that I disliked about the property, all I wished for, was to stay there longer.

big apartment that suited all our needs. AMAZING host, Rita, that helped us when we were on trouble, and invested a lot of time and effort ( and money ) to sort it up, and refused to take any payment although i suggested more than one time.

OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT AND EVERYTHING WE NEEDED WAS IN OUR APARTMENT. SHOPS ARE NEARBY AND WE COULD WALK TO SOME OF THE PLACES WE WANTED TO VISIT. WE EVEN WALK TO THE STADION WHERE WE WATCH THE SEVENS WORLD RUGBY GAMES. EVERY WALK WAS A SCENERY FULL OF EXCITEMENT. WE WOULD LOVE TO STAY WITH BARRY HALL APARTMENTS AGAIN AND WILL DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT TO OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Beautiful house, fabulous location.

I loved the accommodation. The rooms were a good size and the lounge area was very comfy. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was super helpful. She met us on arrival, gave us the keys and also gave us lots of information on where supermarkets etc were and also how to get around. The cleaner was also very friendly and super helpful. The location was also fabulous.

The lighting was very dim and there were no sockets next to a mirror (except in one room) which made getting ready very difficult.

Beautiful place for your vacation.

The host is the mostly friendliest person🙂the stuff was great and chatty as well. My daughter loved the apartment she wanted to take that room back to Pretoria🤣

Construction around the area which is nothing they can control.

Besides an early wake-up due to the noise at the construction site (on the positive side, it actually helped us get out

in the very heart of Sea Point, walking distance to many restaurants and the sea front.

major construction site right next door where they start working at 7am everyday ( except Sunday). expect an early wake-up call. This is only temporary until construction completes, but worthwhile checking status.

Besides the noisy construction, our stay was wonderful.

Rita is a wonderful host. The apartment is cleaned daily and we were greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit and beautiful flowers.

The major construction of a new apartment block right next door is very noisy, especially if you stay in apt #4 which is right next to the construction. Work starts at 07:00am everyday except Sunday. Obviously this is temporary and construction will end, but worth checking status.

Great Location. Spacious and clean apartment. Comfortable beds.

We had to take cold showers & baths (not by choice) - there was no warm water available.
