This is a beautiful hotel, a former chateau, lovingly decorated in the middle of quiet countryside and grounds. Breakfast was very good and dinner was great. The staff kind and friendly. Our room was pleasant and spacious though the sitting area could be better as the two chairs were not the most comfortable.
The hotel does not have a lift. There are only stairs and as far as I could see there are no rooms at ground level. My room was on the top level and for it one had to climb three flights of spiral stairs. Obviously a problem for people with mobility issues and other health issues such as shortness of breath due to asthma for example. When I booked it I didn't see this information about the non-existence of lifts anywhere. It would have had an impact on my decision. So I think the hotel should list this information up front. The lighting at night in some of the corridors especially at the top where my room was situated, was supposed to be automatic and detect motion but it didn't always work properly so sometimes we had to walk in near darkness until we reached the room.

Nice location, good food.
We had to change rooms because of a flood from the shower unit. This was known to be a problem but they put us in the room anyway.

Very good location, peaceful retreat and a convenient base for exploring the Loire Valley.

Lovely room, chateau great
Food poor and overpriced. We were there on nights which are bistronomique, but they still charge astoronimic gastronomic prices.
