Staying at this hotel almost feels like you are a character in a novel. This small, picturesque hotel right off the river looks and feels like something out of the colonial past. The owner immediately welcomes you, tells you what you need to know about the town, and serves you breakfast. It's a little off the beaten path, so expect to walk a little more to get to anything. But it's an incredibly walkable city so this should not be a problem. I would very happily stay here again.
On a side note, there was a storm and a brief power outage. The place has a backup generator, so you would have never known it.
This is a little stupid, but the code to enter the rooms is the last four digits of your phone number. This is great for never having to think about it, but then makes you not want to share your number with any other guests..
