About this apartment rental
This friendly, spacious, and cozy apartment is located in the Predigtstuhl Resort. With its two rooms and 53 square meters of living space, it offers plenty of room for up to four people. The Predigtstuhl Resort is situated in the heart of the Bavarian Forest at an elevation of approximately 900 meters in the health resort town of Sankt Englmar.
The apartment consists of a combined living and dining area, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a balcony. It was completely renovated in December 2021.
The apartment is equipped with two televisions with cable. Internet access is available and can be used free of charge.
The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable box-spring bed, a closet, and a desk. In the living area, you can make yourself comfortable in a cozy box-spring bed (200 x 200 cm) and enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
The dining area is furnished with a table and chairs that comfortably seat four people, perfect for enjoying a meal together that you’ve prepared in the kitchenette, which is equipped with a refrigerator and a two-burner induction cooktop (the necessary kitchen utensils are provided). Alternatively, you can take advantage of the wide range of dining options in the immediate vicinity.
The apartment is designed in a maisonette style, so you can access the living and sleeping areas via a staircase from the apartment’s entryway.
Within the hotel complex, guests can use the indoor pool with a children’s pool, the outdoor pool with a slide during the warm summer months, the children’s playground, and the table tennis table—as well as the fitness room and sauna—free of charge. On the hotel grounds, “younger guests” can let off steam at Family-World, which features a large indoor playground, for a fee. For “older guests,” an indoor soccer arena is also available for a fee.
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel complex, there are various recreational activities available for all age groups. These include, for example, hiking and biking, winter sports, a summer toboggan run, and a treetop trail.

Taxes, fees, and other costs:
Since Sankt Englmar is a climatic health resort, a visitor’s tax must be paid for each day of your stay. This amounts to 2.30 euros for guests aged 16 and older, and 1.40 per person per day of stay for children and teenagers aged 6 and older.
The visitor’s tax is not included in the total price.
Starting at 01.05.2024, I will provide you with the aktivCARD Bayerischer Wald, which grants you free access to more than 130 services at participating businesses.
For the aktivCARD Bayerischer Wald, you are required to pay 3.95 euros per night for guests aged 16 and older, and 2.95 euros per night for guests aged 6 through 15.
The price of the aktivCARD is not included in the total price.

Schöner Aufenthalt, Kontakt mit Vermieter war Spitze. Würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren.

Das Apartment ist (sehr vorteilhaft ganz am Ende) eines riesigen etwas älteren aber gut funktionalen Ferienkomplexes ("Schachterldorf" in St. Englmar). Trotz des riesigen Komplexes ist es ruhig. Für Kinder ist ein schöner Spielplatz gleich unterhalb des Balkons. Auch ein Schwimmbad, welches sehr gut für Kinder jeden Alters geeignet ist, mit Innen- und Außenbereich ist ganz nah (man kann in Badesachen hingehen). Wegen des außergewöhnlich kalten Augustwetters nutzten wir es leider nicht viel, da wir im Innenbereich vor Corona Angst hatten (wohl wegen der derzeit im Landkreis Straubing-Boden sehr niedrigen Inzidenz [?] gab es faktisch keinerlei "3G"-Überprüfung, was wir sehr schade fanden). Während das Bad relativ neu ist, ist die Küchenzeile älteren Jahrgangs. Der Kühlschrank röchelt manchmal sehr stark (möglicherweise erst seit kurzem?), aber man gewöhnte sich bald daran. Leider musste wohl einer der Vormieter unerlaubterweise im Apartment geraucht haben oder mindestens auf dem Balkon, obwohl dies der Vermieter verboten hat. Da wir da sehr empfindlich sind und man wegen des kalten Wetters nicht immer lüften konnte, störte uns das leider bis zum Ende des Aufenthalts. Der Vermieter versprach, dass er das in Zukunft von den Reinigungskräften jeweils überprüfen lässt, er ist selber sehr gegen Rauch. Auch war der Heizkörperregler im Schlafzimmer wohl von einem Vormieter (?) notdürftig befestigt, de facto aber lose, so dass wir den Heizkörper im Schlafzimmer nicht nutzen konnten. Das war ein echtes Problem, da es sehr kalt war und wir dann den Rest der Wohnung überhitzen mussten (normalerweise scheint die Heizung sehr gut zu funktionieren). Ansonsten war alles super, auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter. Das Fazit ist, dass der Zustand des Apartments vor der Übergabe besser überprüft werden sollte, und so gut wie die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war, denke ich, dass er das in Zukunft einwandfrei gewährleisten wird.
