We had a quick stay for camp pick up! Everything was perfect at the Starkey house. Will book again for next summer camp pick up.

My family stayed during camp pickup and it house was just perfect! Comfy beds and pillows, smartly decorated and super cozy. We didn’t get to use all the wonderful amenities but will be back!

House is clean with everything you need. Keri was responsive and very helpful.

The house was great for two couples. We had a quick two night stay and the house had everything we needed. There are nice little touches from the host all around the house.

We loved staying at the Starkey House! Everything was perfect. The house was beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable. Our dog Chewy was with us and he loved Kerrville! Lots to see and do outdoors and every place we ate at allowed dogs on the patio. We biked the river trail and spent an afternoon at Louise Hays Park. We also made sure to visit Grape Juice and the food was delicious! Can't wait to come back!

Calming decor and relaxing outdoor space coupled with thoughtful items—yoga mats, guitar, honor bar, dog treats and a personal welcome marquee. Close proximity to Kerrville River trial made for a beautiful morning walk. Perfect lodging to see our son’s last college baseball game at Schreiner. The Starkey House is home run.

We had so much fun at the Starkey house. We played games, made gingerbread houses, had good food and especially enjoyed the hot tub!! It was overall a nostalgic experience. Would definitely stay again.

When we first got there we saw the sign in the front yard welcoming us. Then we walked into the house it was even better than the pictures made it out to be. Everything was perfect for our little honeymoon getaway and I’m really glad we picked this place. Oh and also they own a restaurant called Grape Juice… do yourself a favor and visit there too it was delicious!!!

My wife and I stayed in the Starkey House for four days along with our dog Dakota. The house could not have been more charming and there were a number of extra touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The house would be great for anyone but is ideal for those traveling with their furry friends. There is an enclosed yard that allowed us to let Dakota wander around a bit without being on a leash. He enjoyed gazing out of the yard to look for passing deer or other dogs. Dog bowls and treats were provided. We went hiking at a different state park every day and it helped that Dakota was worn out and ready to go to sleep after dinner. There are plenty of windows so there is a great deal of natural light in the house. There is a washer/dryer if you need one during your stay. The unexpected extras were my favorite part of the stay. For example, an iPhone cable was provided on each of the nightstands in the house. Most importantly for me, the owners made a guitar available for the use of guests. While I did not spend as much time playing as I hoped to, I did enjoy picking it up a few times. Outside in the yard there is a dart board provided for the use of guests. The river trail along the Guadalupe is a two minute walk away so we were able to do a warm up hike each morning with the dog. Mamacita's is a very short drive from the house (or you could walk there if you wanted to). This restaurant does not allow dogs so we grabbed some take out there and it was excellent. We also ate at Rails which has a very pleasant patio so Dakota could join us for dinner. Overall, we had a great stay at this charming house.

We would come back! Enjoyed being able to book for one night instead of two.

House was great and had everything you needed during the stay. Great location to get an early walk in on the river before the heat of the day. Close enough drive to Flatrock and close to good eateries. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for being awesome hosts!

There's a unique charm and functionality I've never seen in this VRBO. From the outfitted kitchen (where nothing has been left off the necessities list) to the bikes and artwork...you'll find this spot well worth the spend!

March madness! Keri and Pat have created a wonderful place to escape the craziness of everyday life and relax. The home was clean, very bright, well equipped with everything we needed for a months stay. The location next to the river walk trail made it easy to enjoy the sun and warm evenings. We really enjoyed the kitchen with sharp knives, lots of pots and pans, spices, flour, sugar, great stove and refrigerator, plus a grill. We enjoyed the fire pit, darts, washer toss game, and hot tub! There were even a couple bikes. The Kerrville area proved to be a wonderful destination to get in some early season cycling with both quiet roads and 11 miles of mountain bike trails just off the river trail. We had a great getaway. Thank you Keri and Pat! We look forward to staying with you again!

Keri was an excellent host. She was quick to respond to requests, and effectively communicated check-in and check-out expectations. I cannot say enough good things about this property. It was beautifully equipped with everything we required. The personalization and warm touches were just a bonus. I would be happy to stay again, and happy to recommend this rental to anyone.

The owner and home were wonderful! We were greated with a wonderful welcome sign and a bottle of excellent Spanish red wine. The location is close to Comfort, Fredricksburg(45 min),Bourne (30 min) Bandera (20 min) and San Antonio (60 min). We had a fabulous week visiting, antiquing & shopping. We loved having a fire pit, access to bikes and the hot tub! We would definitely stay again! Absolutely beautiful lication!

The home was welcoming as soon as we arrived. Switches were clearly labeled, the home was clean, and there was nice touches in the home that lets you know that your comfort is key. I highly recommend staying here.

Great touches and details at this property! The owner was friendly and communicative, the hot tub and fire pit were both great, and the interior is really designed for a great stay, from a well-equipped kitchen with a great gathering space (we could totally see coming back with a group) to yoga mats in the bedrooms, a well-stocked bathroom, and an honor bar tucked into a cabinet. We really enjoyed our stay!

This was a perfect stay! The house is so cute/Instagram worthy and lots of nice touches to make it a great stay. From the firepit in the yard, to the washers game, to the nicely outfitted kitchen, the house and yard were great. It's close to the riverwalk trail and nice and quiet, but it's all set up to entertain friends. And they seemingly thought of everything you might need, plus it was very very clean. We'll be back!
