The spacious, two-room, non-smoking apartment App25 features a light-filled living room with a dormer window and a balcony. It is located in the well-maintained Gschwendtnerhof vacation complex, which comprises a total of 26 individually designed apartments. At an elevation of 840 m in the idyllic high valley of Hintergschwendt—between Aschau im Chiemgau and Bernau am Chiemsee—you can enjoy peace and quiet, nature, and a breathtaking mountain backdrop, surrounded by meadows and forests between the Kampenwand and Lake Chiemsee. The apartment is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike rides, and excursions in the region. You’ll find shops and restaurants of all kinds in nearby Aschau or in Bernau. A well-maintained communal garden with wooden lounge chairs, an outdoor seating area, a barbecue area, and an open fire pit invites you to relax and enjoy each other’s company. In the basement, guests have free access to a sauna with showers and a relaxation room, two new (2025) fitness machines (treadmill and exercise bike), a coin-operated washing machine, and a coin-operated dryer. In addition, there is a storage room, a drying room with ski storage, and a cozy lounge with a ping-pong table, foosball table, darts, pool table, game corner, and seating. Wi-Fi and ample parking are available free of charge. Please understand that pets are not allowed in this apartment (App25). We offer our guests a bread roll delivery service (limited during the winter months). You can easily order and pay for them yourself—for a delicious start to the day. The Gschwendtnerhof combines nature and relaxation—an ideal place for a relaxing and varied vacation in the heart of the Chiemgau region.
Very quiet vacation apartment on the 1st floor, 73 square meters with a partially sloped ceiling and a beautiful balcony that catches the evening sun. The spacious apartment features a bedroom, a bathroom with a window, shower, and bathtub, a hair dryer, and a large living area—completely redesigned in 2024 with a dormer—that includes an extended kitchen, dining area, and living room, all with new vinyl flooring. All rooms are accessible via the spacious entryway. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed (1.8 m x 2 m) and features an external roller shade for complete blackout, as well as a fly screen. A new vinyl floor was also installed here in early 2025. The bedroom now also features a second TV (no antenna connection) with a Blu-ray player (many DVDs available) and connections for a TV dongle. The living room offers an additional sleeping area with an easy-to-unfold sofa bed. It provides a sleeping surface measuring 1.5 x 2 m and ensures a restful night’s sleep thanks to a slatted frame and a mattress. Mosquito screens here also ensure undisturbed sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-burner ceramic cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and a fridge-freezer. In addition to the kitchen, the large living area features a dining area for 6 people, as well as two comfortable sofas facing the new (2026) 65-inch Smart TV. Free Wi-Fi and streaming-capable internet are available throughout the house. The apartment features a cordless phone offering free calls to German landlines and, as of May 26, to all German cell phone networks. For small children, a high chair and a crib/folding bed are available to set up in the apartment. Freshly made beds and towels await our guests. Please note that dogs and other pets, as well as smoking, are unfortunately not permitted in the apartment.
The nearby Lake Chiemsee—affectionately known as the “Bavarian Sea”—is just a ten-minute drive away and offers a wide range of options for steamboat tours, such as a visit to Herrenchiemsee Palace and the idyllic Fraueninsel, as well as water sports and relaxing days at the beach. For those interested in culture, there is a wealth of destinations to explore: the cities of Salzburg, Munich, and Kufstein, as well as the picturesque Königssee, are all conveniently accessible in just over an hour and invite you to enjoy varied day trips.
