Great accomodation a short walk to the village Spotlessly clean & everything you would need. Owner lives downstairs but you wouldnt have known as not intrusive but always available if needed for advise.

perhaps there should be the option of a stair gate to block off the top of the stairs to young children,pets,etc

great location , walking distance to the village with an easy wobble distance back from the pub secure garden with ample parking clean and comfy

We loved the view, bathroom shower, clean place.

Only the location was bit tricky for our navigation may be our navigation was not updated but getting in and out of the property was bit tight.

Great location. 1 minute walk to the gorgeous Hawkshead and plenty to see and do within half hour drive from property. Newly refurbished and well kitted out.

Description of property should state that the accommodation is a first floor apartment WITHIN the ‘beautiful 3 bed stone barn’. It’s easy to think you’re booking the whole barn.

Entire upper floor of barn cottage which is very nicely appointed and full of light. Beds very comfy and 2 spacious bathrooms. Lots of kitchen equipment. Outside area with large table overlooking fields. Property nicely tucked away but easy 5 mins walk into Hawkshead village. Pete the host is on hand downstairs but not at all intrusive. He was extremely friendly and helpful throughout, in fact going above and beyond when we had difficulty getting somewhere. Would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely spot.

Lovely host, location and amazing home.

Only minor comment but bedding and towels smelt of smoke and some of the crockery was dirty.

The property was bright, clean, comfortable and with great views and easy walking distance to the pubs and shops in Hawkshead. Pete the host communicated with us before arrival well, was friendly, offered fantastic advice on local walks and even allowed us to drop of our bags earlier. All in all, a fantastic place to stay.

Struggling to find any negatives. Perhaps a couple of plants would make it even nicer!

Fabulous location in hawkshead village. Good sized garden and lovely views of the hills and sheep! Modern interior and traditional slate exterior. Very clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful owner available when needed. Would like to stay again in the future.
