Dishonest agency that just doesn’t care. Go elsewhere!
Unfortunately, the experience we’ve had was awful throughout.
The only (!) positive thing just to be fair to the agency - they let us check in 2 hours earlier, which for us ended being a lifesaver as we were able to leave that evening.
Upon arrival to the villa, it turned out that the lift to the villa was broken, and the only access was via a spiral death staircase, I’d say approximately 3-4 meters tall. Not a problem for someone physically able, but we had elderly parents who just could not do it. So, for us it was a total no-go without the lift because it posed a serious risk of injury.
We called the agency there and then to be told that they knew the lift was broken and the soonest they can try to fix it would be in 2 days time.
Moreover, a female agent, Paqui, told us that the lift access was not in the description - lies! It was and it is still there today.
She then said that the property voucher they sent us two weeks prior in May did not mention the lift access. We booked in February! So you’ve had plenty of time to put things right. We would have cancelled and rebooked elsewhere had we known.
The only resolution for us that day was to leave the villa, pay for another week’s stay elsewhere and raise a claim with Booking.com customer services.
The agency dragged the time even then, and only cancelled the booking 3 days later.
Seriously, do better! And be honest. We had so much stress because of how the agency handled things and lost a day’s holiday.
What else?
The parking is across the road - so you’ll be running across the road with food bags and suitcases.
The pool access - you need to walk down to the street level, then up a ramp, and then you can enjoy your swimming session.
Lastly - the lift recess seems to be used as a local public toilet. The smell of urine was very apparent even when we made it up to the terrace. But at least it’s some use to the lift.
If you’re still considering booking this villa - don’t. Go elsewhere and definitely do not book anything with Interhome agency in Calpe.
