The Evening Buffet for 38Euros very poor

The staff are exceptional and given that they were notified that the guests were celebrating their anniversary, a special gift was left upon checkin. We simply only have words of praise for the entire stay.

So clean, lovel my modern design, lots of facilities and choice and fantastic service. Great breakfast too.
The wifi wasn’t the best.

The hotel staff made a great hotel, exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were of a high quality and very clean. The facilities and breakfast were also to a high standard. I would recommend opting for the M Club option as that was great for grabbing water and light snacks during the day, an enjoying a nice glass of wine at night.
There is nothing we didn't like.

The hotel is absolutely top. The staff is incredibly friendly! The entire hotel was clean! Simply recommend the breakfast and the M Club!! The spa area where children are allowed at certain times is simply great. The SPA treatments are excellent!

Breakfast not 5 star, room 503 had a view which was laughable- courtyard view with binoculars. The view was two pebbled roofs, the room facing balconies with washing evaporation units, storage tanks. It was not a view which you could advertise! Well not as courtyard?

Breakfast was great- large selection of both hot and cold food, cereals, fruit, breads and cakes.
The Spa and indoor pool was well designed, immaculately clean and very relaxing.
Bedrooms were large and spacious with balcony and sea view.
All staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that guests had everything they needed- even came round at night to check if guests needed extra towels, water etc
Nothing - everything was great.

The Marriott didn’t disappoint. Professional from start to finish. Welcoming, organized and clean. The spa is spectacular and the massage for sure one of the better one I had. Also manicure and pedicure are professionally executed. Pool is big enough to spend part of the day and it incl. a pool bar serving a good selection on pool food. Super friendly staff.

We had a Superior Room which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely selection of items at breakfast and super quality. Staff really friendly and although they couldn't possibly know names as a smaller hotel would, we were recognised over the stay and they still made the effort to visit the table at breakfast most days and check how your stay was going. Service all very prompt. Location is fabulous - directly on Balluta Bay and just seconds from bus stops, restaurants, cafes, an excellent dive centre, small beach, bank and pharmacies and is easy to get everywhere you might want to go. It's nicely busy in the evening but certainly not clubby or noisy for those that need to know! The rooftop pool is pretty small and was busy with children so we sometimes used the peaceful indoor pool, which in the afternoons is adults-only with sauna/steam room etc. We didn't realise until later that they have a much larger outside pool just across the street (signs are by the check-in/Concierge desk) but I think this is new. All in all a really excellent stay - I wouldn't normally stay in a large hotel but we would stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
This is only being very picky, but as the loo is separate to the main bathroom, a small sink for handwashing in the toilet area would be beneficial and more hygienic for guests.
Rooms were expensive, but we did book quite late and in August!

Beautiful clean rooms, swimming pool, food court
The city view was awful. I was so disappointed to see construction work. The whole view was so unattractive. For this view, the price of the room should've been cheaper.

Staff were fantastic, attentive and always hospitable. Anything you need they can and will assist. Pool, gym and all amenities are fantastic. Location was perfect, quiet and central to get around Malta.

Malta Marriott is definitely a 5 star hotel but more a business/conference hotel than a family holiday destination. The rooms were of a high quality. Booked 2 rooms and requested near each other and they accommodated that upgrading one room to a sea view albeit it limited. Really enjoyed the spa facilities. Parking under the hotel was very straightforward and free. Breakfast had a good selection of foods. Staff were very helpful.
We booked a sea view but due to the positioning of the hotel it was restricted. This should be pointed out on booking. The new pool complex was not open yet. There is only 1 small pool on the roof that gets very full. The food options at the poolside bar are too fancy. Should be offering snacks like sandwiches, nachos, pitta and olives etc. Unfortunately when they hold a function outside it limits where you can go as there is only 2 areas to sit outside. I am sure once the new pool area opens it will be amazing. Only problem with service was at the poolside bar when they took nearly an hour to deliver the food. The Atrio Restaurant had a strange selection of menu. I maybe missing something but all 4 of us struggled to find anything we liked.

Friendliness of the staff. Great selection for breakfast.
Some drinks and snacks were expensive.

Poor hotel management. People walking inside a 5-star hotel without having a room, without having paid money for accommodation. Lobbie too crowded. Bar, situated in the lobbie too crowded. Balcony too crowded. Hotel stuff very unprofessional, not informing us of “restricted areas” that we had every right to yse as these so called restricted areas were being used by other guests. While doing the check in, we were not informed of any restricted areas. Being kicked out of the hotel, as special guests were arriving is disgraceful. Not being allowed to use the stairs, lift was locked during “special guests arrival”. Complete mess of a so called “5-star hotel”.

The hotel interior is a master piece. Rooms are spacious and we had a wonderful view. The staff was so polite and there was a man who knew every part of Malta and had amazing recommendations. The spa is in a ancient style and had a great pool and smaller tubs. The restaurant in front of the hotel with great food.
Spa was crowded with kids who ruined a bit the peace that was there.

Superb location, fantastic choice of breakfast, exceptionally clean, secure lifts accessed by guests only using room key, lovely soft bed and pillows, modern shower and bath and fittings, great view over the sea
everything was great, nothing that we didnt like

The location is great..
Same as Douglas on the comments below (two weeks ago), the room was overlooking the construction site with workers starting at 7am on a Saturday. The hotel welcomed us with an "upgrade" but the disturbance was never mentioned on check-in.
Terrible experience, there is at least one more year of work so I would strongly suggest to avoid the hotel or make sure you're in a different area before booking.

- Great staff always helpful, a lot of attention to the guests so that they feel 'special'.
- Great location
- Great amenities
Our room was very dark, no natural light since there was only one window at the very end of the room and there was a palm tree in front of the window, avoiding any natural light to the room. No view at all.

The M floor was very good and the staff excellent. Food and beverages were plentiful and of good quality.
Our room was overlooking the construction of the new pool. We were not notified of the disturbance, but other people were offered the chance to cancel. We were offered an upgrade at our own expense. We felt this a little unfair.

nice room and lovely staff
little things were overlooked ie toothpaste replenished tea station, main thing was it was described as beachfront which it wasn’t all , it’s near a bay but no beach

Excellent location in St Julian's. Great breakfast area and lovely spa. I can recommend getting access to the M Lounge for 5pm canapes and drinks.
There is currently a building site next to the hotel and my room was on that side. A new pool is being built and should be finished in next two months. However it meant that I was often woken up by cement mixers and a crane being moved around at 7am.

The property was well kept. Clean. Most staff was friendly and always wanted to help.
Slow service at the main lobby restaurant. We were with children and we sat for hours with them when the restaurant wasn’t full.
