The apartment is in a great location. It is noisy, but that is understandable. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even for more days.

There were places that weren't cleaned well enough, but overall it was clean.

Never ever stay at 17 Echegeray.

The AC and water heater were NOT working. The property management sent the technician to fix them which they didn’t; they just fooled us to pretending they fixed it to get more nights and money out of us. I called the emergency number incurring roaming fees every night complaining about the not working AC and water heater. The apartment was a sauna and the water was ICE cold so we couldn’t shower. Finally after the 3 nights and me crying on the phone they told us to leave the apartment and to cancel our reservation bc they KNEW all along they couldn’t fix it. Imagine the chaos I still had more than a week to stay in Madrid. Also I had until 3 pm to leave the apartment that day they told me to cancel and when I went out to get something they had already locked us out; bc their entrance is operated digitally; and this was BEFORE 3 pm and I needed to pack to get out before 3 and how could I if they locked me out before 3 pm which was our check out time. And that’s other than the phone roaming charges I incurred from calling their emergency number out of office hours. And the emergency number is also a scam; they never fixed anything and accused me of lying. A total disaster and shameful disgraceful experience. The beds were rock hard in 2 of the bedrooms. Also the office stopped replying to my desperate complaint emails during office hours because they knew they were scamming me. The emergency guy came once and said they will change my water heater; of course didn’t happen and they told us to cancel the reservation. The photo I enclosed is of the broken water heater; you can see the wrench icon clearly on it which signifies it’s broken. Me and my daughter’s nose bled because of the heat of the apartment and trying to shower in the ice cold water. For perspective the AC wasn’t working and they never fixed it during the heat wave and fires in Madrid. Never stay at 17 Echegeray; NEVER.

0/10 Avoid it at all costs!

The hardship endured during the stay masked any positive that could have been there. The location is good but the property management is terrible.

0/10 - Uninhabitable. Do Not Book. I booked this property for 5 nights in Madrid (5-9 June 2026) and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. For 3 consecutive days there was NO hot water. Not intermittent, not low pressure — completely none. I reported it immediately and the property sent the same technician three times over three days, each time claiming the issue was fixed, each time it was not. After enduring this for three days without being able to take a basic shower in summer heat, I formally requested to be moved to another unit. They refused, claiming no availability. Left with no choice, I was forced to vacate the property and book another hotel entirely at my own expense — just to have access to a shower. A basic human necessity that this property could not provide for the majority of my stay. To add insult to injury, when I requested a full refund, the property offered a laughable 20% as a “goodwill gesture” — for a stay that was uninhabitable for more than half its duration. They stopped answering my calls entirely after the third day. The property kept over 60% of a €1,136 booking for a service they completely failed to deliver. I am still pursuing a full refund. Avoid this property at all costs. What is advertised and what is delivered are two very different things.

I like how it was arranged without any human contact, everything was done digitally. Super easy access and save a lot of

I like the size of the apartment, bathroom and kitchen were perfect to make my own breakfast, new modern fridge which was nice to have my watermelon 🍉 cold when I came back home in this heat.

The location of the property was great.

The air conditioner and water heater were not working up on arrival. In the next day, when showering, the water turned cold within 10 mins. The refrigerator had a funny smell. Also, the apartment given was quite small compared to the pictures shown of the property on the site. We were next to the street so it was quite loud until 3am. Would suggest asking for a room away from the street.
