The hotel has an old-style period charm and spectacular views over Taormina to the sea beyond. Breakfast on the terrace was so lovely - even though it was mid-October. Lovely roof-top pool with views of Mount Etna.
The bathroom in our room was very small and the bed very firm. Some upgrading and refurbishment would be an enhancement.

Fantastic sea views. Great pool area. Fantastic hospitality staff.
No coffee/tea making facilities in room.
Lack of privacy from neighbouring rooms either side with sea views. Guests can see you in bed. The bushes used as separation screening are inadequate for this purpose.
Breakfast buffet- no self service of tea/coffee.

The location and the view are outstanding , staff members exceptional and very good breakfast (had once)
Hard bedding, rooms are old and bathrooms original, has quirkiness but could do with updating a little to match the fantastic views etc
