Perfect setting if you are looking for tranquility and a short drive to local amenities / unesco aqueduct and stunning scenery. Host Heather was extremely helpful and we were grateful for the treats left in the cottage. The fresh eggs also for sale on-site are well worth the money.
Found the mattress on the double bed uncomfortable, it’s probably fine for most people just not us. Seems like it could use a topper.

Absolutely amazing 3 night stay! Everything you could possibly need and more, beautiful surroundings and a peaceful get away was just what we needed! Heather the host was absolutely lovely and everything offered was above and beyond. Fresh eggs, fresh milk, brownies and cookies just to start! Parking was never a problem as they have a great carpark just for guests with an egg shed to buy more fresh eggs if you wanted! Also the bonus of cows to greet you at the carpark. Brilliant walks around the property and a short drive from the amazing aqueduct. Also only a short drive from Wrexham for a bit of retail therapy and food! The cottage was very homely, cosy and clean and felt right at home in the big comfy armchair. Honestly couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a quiet weekend getaway to relax and forget about the world.

As advertised it is a rural location so a car is needed but close to shops etc. We booked out all the houses and found them all to be well maintained, exceptionally clean, with thoughtful additions like milk in the fridge and a welcome box. The little houses had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Heather, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. It was lovely to be able to get free range eggs from the honesty box, they were yum.
We were there for a wedding and it suited our needs perfectly.
The design of the 3 single properties means the beds are on a raised platform with stairs. Beds were of a good size and comfortable. We were a slightly older party so we were a little concerned about the stairs but we all managed. The 2 bedroom property has a short flight of stairs up to it but then it is all on the same level. This suited our slightly less mobile members of the group.
