The Second Wind is beautiful, comfortable, and cozy - inside and out! This home has everything you need to relax and enjoy your getaway. The location is perfect - close to town, restaurants, shops, bike paths, marina, and beach. Wish we could have stayed longer!

After many years at the White Elephant and renting in Tom Nevers, we opted to secure a home in town this year. Our family, including our twin teenage daughters and their two best friends, embarked on a vacation that exceeded all expectations, thanks to this remarkable home.
From the moment we stepped inside, it was evident that this house was something special. The newness of the home was apparent, and the attention to detail in its decor was nothing short of impressive. Every corner of the house exuded a sense of thoughtfulness and style that immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable.
One aspect that stood out was the meticulous cleanliness that greeted us. It's not often that you encounter a vacation rental that sparkles as if it were brand new, but this house delivered that and more.
The brightness of the space added to the overall charm of the house. Natural light streamed through numerous windows, creating an airy and inviting atmosphere that we all adored. And the location? Absolutely phenomenal! Being able to walk to town and enjoy the bustling energy, or bike to the nearby beaches, was an experience our entire girls relished. And for my wife and I, the quiet street and easy access to the plethora of nearby restaurants made our evenings delightful and stress-free.
Even though we didn't encounter any issues during our stay, we had a few questions throughout the week, and the owner was incredibly responsive.
We're now eagerly awaiting our return.

This is a very special home! The furnishings are amazing and the home layout is perfect for a big family. And clean!! You can’t beat in town location. It’s a 5 minute walk to the harbor, restaurants and shops.The property manager Theresa was always in contact with me when I had a question! I cannot say enough great things about this home! We loved our stay in this beautifully decorated home in the ideal Nantucket location (5 minute walk into town). It was our favorite rental on our 3-week New England road trip. Our family of 5 had plenty of space to spread out and everything we needed for our stay was provided, down to stain remover, reusable grocery bags, and beach reads. The beds and linens are comfortable and beautiful. We would’ve extended our stay if possible and have already reached out to book again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

The house was just as shown in the photos. The quality of the furnishings and finish-out was just amazing. We are all ready to move there! My husband, 2 daughters and I loved it. It was so easy to walk into town or bike along all of the nearby bike paths. We can't wait to return!!

The care, cleanliness and style of this cottage made it hard to leave. From the fixtures, small box of chocolates, phone chargers in every bedroom, coffee, tea, sound system, lighting, proximity to town made out trip too short. A couple hiccups with the owner in making the reservation were fixed by the manager, Theresa.

Stunning home, even nicer than the photos. Gorgeous decor and furnishings. We loved the Matouk bed linens, unbelievably comfortable mattresses and all the special touches, like the chilled Veuve Clicquot, local chocolates, flowers and soft music playing. The home is located on a very quiet side street and we didn’t need our car as we were a 5-minute walk to Main Street and even closer to the harbor beaches. Theresa made our arrival seamless. We just booked their last opened July week and cannot wait to return!

The property is gorgeous. The cleanliness, linens were stellar. Perfect walking proximity to town.
We did find, however, the neighborhood to be crowded in and a bit noisy as neighbors on 2 sides were having projects done.
A couple of suggestions: written directions for use of nest thermostats, hot tub, etc. , upgrade kitchen knives, provide more than 1 key.

Beautifully furnished. Owners thought of everything to make the stay first rate. However, on the description on VRBO , 6 bathrooms are listed. There are only 3 full bathrooms

The only thing you’ll wish for is a design book telling you where to buy the decor in this home. Beds, showers, linens…all luxuriously comfortable. This home has every touch, from the spa music playing on arrival to the cozy and easy to use fireplace. It’s a dreamy property in the perfect location.

The property is as attractive and well appointed as advertised. Communication with the host was excellent, quick and responsive. The amenities are all that one could ask for. The location is very convenient to town and very quiet.

Great location close to town! Beautiful home with top quality finishes, furnishings, etc. Plenty of space for a group of eight adults. We spent a lot of time on the back patio around the beautiful fire pit.
The actual furnishings vary from the photos... for example the main living room now features a sectional sofa... and the third floor bedroom has some exercise equipment taking up a bit of room... nothing major with only positive impacts but I wish the photos were 100% accurate.
Only two minor nit-picks: 1) There are not enough beach chairs or towels for the occupancy of the home... there were not any beach umbrellas (we purchased and left behind)... only two bicycles (one for a child)... 2) The home was very "personal" with family photographs, monograms, etc which was interesting for a rental.
Overall I would definitely recommend!

We had an excellent experience. Quiet side street. Short walk to wharf, boat basin, shops and restaurants. We did not bring a car, rather rented bikes for a family with four high school / college aged children. The central location made the entire island easily accessible via bicycle paths.

Wonderful Property!
This house is beautiful and extremely well maintained and equipped! Matouk linens and a picnic basket were two of my favorites! Also, we rented the owners boat and captain for a few hours one day-another treat!
Great location too- we walked everywhere. I would definitely rent this house again!

Reallly lovely, clean and spacious home. It was perfect for the entire family! Great location, easy walking distance to/from the ferry and town. Hot tub was a bonus too!

The amenities were top notch, even including the sound system! The layout of the great room, combining the kitchen, living room, TV and small eating nook, was so comfortable we did all of our living there. Only used the formal living room for sprucing up the tuxedos for the wedding at Great Harbor Yacht Club. The club is such a short walk, I could not imagine a better place to stay if you were attending a wedding there. The beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated that the care keepers supplied hypoallergenic bedding on request. We were not really fans of the coffee "pods", but the Handlebar Cafe was just a short walk away and the coffee was great. The Stop and Shop is also very close, which made provisioning easy. The only downside is backing out of the driveway onto the street. If someone parks in the handicap space across the street at the base of the driveway, it is best to have someone in the street guiding you back.
