Location is ok, good for the money. Could be better if you equip one more aircon in the bedroom.

The bedroom is hot even I open the window.

Once you know how to unlock the door using the two passwords given (one for the communal entrance and the second for the apartment door), it's easy to get in. There's a supermarket within a 10-minute walk. There are several restaurants nearby. Wifi is good. It's not more than 10 minutes to/from the airport by taxi (~500 tenge). But it is too far to walk.

The main problem is that there is a streetlight which shines almost directly into the room all night. With the window open, it's also constantly noisy. You would think that for approx. $50 a night, the host could be able to afford some kind of curtains. The thin net over the window is useless and the host should invest in some proper, thick, black curtains to block the light. Apartment is tiny. Basic staples (sugar, salt, oil) in the kitchen would be useful. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you do stay here. Next time, we will stay in one of the apartments literally walking distance from the airport.

The apartment is 5 min by taxi from Almaty International airport, so is very good option for transit. It has king size bend and sofa suitable for a kind to sleep on. Toilet is decent and kitchen had stove, microwave, fridge and washing machine. There is nearby a shop where you can find ready made halal sandwiches.
