This is a lovely boutique hotel in an excellent location, right next to the Chateau de Vincennes and the Bois de Vincennes, and surrounded by a great selection of lovely cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. We're really loved exploring the medieval chateau and église, walking all around the beautiful park and across the Marne river, and eating out at the excellent local venues. The check-in staff were very good, the room was nice, small but with a comfortable bed and good bathroom, and we enjoyed everything.
There were a couple of maintenance issues while we were there - new televisions were being installed which made our first day noisy, and the lift was out of order for the whole time we were there. But these were temporary issues (and the staff kindly carried our bags up to our rooms at check in).

Our room was one of the quitest rooms we have had for many years. The Hotel is set right by the side of a vast Park with a Castle, Lake and acres of quit paths. It's as if you are right at the edge of Paris with plenty of restaurants, cafés and food shops in the Area. The street in which it stands is clean and smart and the Area is a delight to walk around. It also sits within a short walk of the RER station, one of the fastes Methods of reaching the centre and far side of the City.
We stayed for five days. There was nothing that comes to mind. Ah, ONE thing. I Will not say we did not like it BUT my wife, who loves toast in the morning tried using their toaster but unfortunately it apeared to blow the fuse. A solution was not found during our stay but the wonderful sélection of alternatives every morning at breakfast, well made up for it.

There are no family rooms, and although the staff did everything to accommodate our family and put us in nearby rooms, it is less ideal for families with young kids

staff was friendly but could not address our concerns
Room was very small. Queen size beed took up most of the room. The weather was cold. They did not turn the heat on. When we asked for blankets the staff person could only find sheets. We were told the heat would not be on for a few more days. On Sunday, Sept. 28th we were locked out of the building. We eventually knowked on a hotel window. A guest found the staff person. It was midnight. Staff was great. The Bestwesten facility was not. We would like a refund or to be comped for a future stay. Staff was notified of our concerns as we checked out.
