Good location and pool, but serious maintenance and moisture issues

The location is good. It is quiet, but still close to many restaurants. Some are within walking distance and with a scooter you can reach plenty of great places within just a few minutes. The pool was clean and nice, and we enjoyed using it in the morning. The villa also has some good amenities, including a large TV, microwave and reasonably equipped kitchen. This actually made the overall experience quite strange, because some parts of the property were absolutely fine while others were in very poor condition.

Unfortunately, the property was way below our expectations. 1. The reality is very different from the impression given by the Booking.com photos. The photos appear to be old or heavily edited. Many parts of the villa, furniture and walls are significantly more worn and deteriorated than they look in the listing. 2. The biggest issue was the moisture and mold-like staining. There was extensive damage to the walls, including directly behind the head of the beds where we were supposed to sleep. Paint and plaster were peeling off in several places, and some furniture had extensive dark staining as well. This was especially uncomfortable for us as we were travelling with two small children. 3. The interior generally needs serious maintenance. Some furniture was heavily stained, walls were deteriorating and the bathroom mirrors were covered with permanent-looking marks, apparently caused by moisture. 4. There was also a security issue. The doors between the pool area and the interior could not be properly locked and were difficult to open and close. The main entrance could be locked, but if somebody entered the pool area, they could potentially access the house. 5. When we first entered, there was a strong unpleasant smell and our immediate reaction was: “Has somebody been smoking here?” 6. Communication before arrival was difficult. Until approximately 45 minutes before our arrival, we still did not know how we were supposed to check in. The villa is a strange contrast because it has a nice pool, good location and some good amenities, but the condition of the rooms where you actually sleep made the overall experience very poor. The wall directly behind our beds was the final straw. It made us feel: “Let’s get out of here as soon as possible.” We stayed for two nights and were honestly happy that it was only two nights.

It was very comfortable, with amazing facilities, the location a bit confusing. Overall, a 9/10.

I would say that the place is very comfy as well as kid/family friendly. I would say that the place is very comfortable, the pool being nice, the TV being large the wifi speed is very quick during my stay there (15 mbps ).

The location of the place was quite hard to find as it is located next to a field. But overall, I loved the place as it is close to various places such as Milk and Madu as well as Goumet Cafe and Sista Dumplings.
