Situated in Lake Anna, this lovely house for $701 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Take in the amazing views from this 2300 square foot single-level, family-friendly, waterfront home situated on a large level lot on the public side of Lake Anna. With two boat docks, a sandy beach, and a screened in boathouse, this home is located in a quiet kid and family-friendly neighborhood. Situated on 1.25 acres with 250 feet of waterfront, the large yard is perfect for family gatherings, games, and other outdoor activities. A remodeled kitchen and family room make a perfect central gathering place in the home. The large dining area and eat in kitchen are well-suited for large family meals and activities with seating provided for 12. The home enjoys three traditional bedrooms, three full baths, and a bunk room, so there's plenty of sleeping accommodations for everyone. Extra mattresses, a rollaway bed, and a pack-and-play are also available for families who desire different sleeping configurations. Washer and Dryer are provided and are situated in the laundry room located just off of the kitchen. A large deck at the rear of the home is accessible from the master bedroom, family room, and bunk room and provides an amazing view of the lake. It is well-appointed with chaise lounge chairs, plush sitting chairs, a grill and outdoor fireplace. For those clear, cool and quiet nights, a firepit with Adirondack chairs is located in the yard overlooking the lake. A short walk from the deck and you can enjoy the peace and quiet on the private sandy beach located between the property's two docks. A sandy bottom and clear water make this a great home for swimming and floating on the lake. Enjoy the water with the two provided kayaks, paddleboards and numerous water toys, floats, and floating water matt. Beach chairs, fishing poles, and sand toys are also provided. With two docks and a boat house, there is plenty of room to bring your own boat or jet skis. The community boat ramp is located a half mile from the property and accessible with the provided gate key. The beautiful, covered boat dock includes a screened porch by the water for relaxing with lounge furniture and plenty of additional chairs and tables. Back at the house, there is a Ping-Pong table, pool table, basketball arcade game, and dartboard in the garage which has been converted to a game room and is sure to thrill kids of all ages. There is also a large choice of traditional board games and puzzles. Wireless Internet, DVD players with numerous DVDs, and Satellite TV are also provided. The home is provide with everything needed for your perfect family getaway: Bath towels, bed linens, comforters, and a fully stocked kitchen with all needed pots, pans, blender, crock pot, coffee maker, toaster, etc. What's nearby: Food Lion is located 10 minutes away with ease of access to groceries, restaurants, beer and wine. The adults can take an afternoon and try out some of the local wineries and breweries at Lake Anna Winery (12.6 miles), Coyote Hole Cidery (seven miles), Lake Anna Taphouse (eight miles), and Cooling Pond Brewery (nine miles). Book a cruising tour at Orange Troller (eight miles) where you will be able to explore Lake Anna by boat! This is our dream home and we manage this property ourselves. Families and small gatherings are welcome - absolutely no parties. 7 night minimum rental period Memorial Day through Labor Day. Our family had been looking for a quick lake getaway for some time and came across this property. It was exactly as described and then some! We instantly felt at home. The boat house was great to sit in with our morning coffee and our toddler loved playing in the sand. Highly recommend. We will be back.

If you are looking for a place to try out Lake Anna and have access to tons of water toys, this place is the best! The house is lovely and spacious. The view of the lake and the easy access to the water is awesome. That the owners allow you to use their water toys -- two kayaks, three paddle boards, numerous floaty things --- makes this an ideal place for a family. No need to lug your own kayak or ponder whether to rent a paddle board just to "try it out." We enjoyed our stay.
One note: this is rural Virginia and the wifi/internet can be spotty. The cell service (for Verizon) was excellent.

The owners were incredibly responsive! The house was exactly as it was pictured online. The covered dock was fantastic. We rented a boat and spent the week playing in the water. Fantastic location! Highly recommend!

It was a fantastic week out on the lake. The house was great, well equipped and maintained - perfect for the kids with a wonderful bedroom, game room, super nice dock, tons of lake toys and entertainment. We look forward to returning next year!

The place was well stocked and had everything we needed. We were traveling with another couple and 5 kids aged 2-5 between us. The bunk room was great for the little ones and the toys and books kept them occupied when it rained. The dock was great for fishing…we caught bass and sunfish and we loved that there were plenty of life vests for the kids to wear when fishing and joining us on the kayaks. We also loved the sun room on the dock and the kids loved the beach area. Overall great visit and we will be back!

We booked Tara Cove Cottage for a quick trip with our kids and grandparents. The home is in a lovely quiet area of lake Anna, not too far from the food lion should you need to go to the grocery store. The house was extremely clean and well kept. You can tell the owners take good care of their property. It came fully stocked with all your kitchen needs. All kitchenware lightly used and was cleanly organized with updated appliances.
The house was full of entertainment for the whole family. The dock/boathouse was the highlight of our trip. We did not rent a boat this time around but if you do this home has everything you need, boat slip and lift.
We did spend hours on the water even still with the kayaks and paddleboards which the home came equipped with. There were also fishing rods, life jackets and plenty of water toys. We loved how organized and easy it was to find everything. You could tell everything in the home is well cared for. The dock looks newly built with fans and lighting installed throughout. The screened-in porch is a nice bonus for those who hate bugs.
Garage had pool table, ping pong, foosball, darts and lounge area. So many things for your family to enjoy. We will be sure to rent again, hopefully in the summertime. You won’t regret it!

The house had everything you could need. The view was beautiful! The location is great. We visited Fredericksburg, Washington DC, King’s Dominion, and Lake Anna State Park. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions I had during booking and while at the house. We would definitely stay at this wonderful lake house again!

Perfect spot for our vacation. The house is beautiful and right on the water. Easy kayaking and fishing, plus BBQ and bonfires. The house was clean and well stocked with the essentials. The kids loved the bunk room with game closet and books. Having the garage game room was an added bonus that everyone enjoyed. Owners were very nice and responsive, we plan to come back again!

This could not have been more perfect! Location was fantastic, arriving was a breeze, the house was immaculately clean and it was perfect for our small family get together to celebrate a 60th birthday. Unfortunately rain kept us inside but there was still ample space for everyone to hang out. On top of all that, the owners were wonderful to work with. Super responsive and so nice! 10/10! Not only would I absolutely rent this house again, I will be recommending it to anyone looking for a place to stay at Lake Anna!

Our short Sept weekend was exactly what we wanted: Perfect weather, warm water, TONS of activities for our teenagers without having to leave the property, plenty of space, lots of flexible sleeping options.
By far, this vacation rental has been the most accommodating one we’ve been to. There were so many little, thoughtful ways that made it feel like home - from kitchen items to beach towels to lovely linens to water activities to daily supplies…

This property was fantastic! Excellent location, plenty of room for the whole family. Kitchen is fully stocked with a large TV in an open family room. The bunk bed room was great for the kids. We loved the boathouse and swimming/paddle boarding/kayaking. Much of our time was also spent enjoying the spacious deck and the screened-in sitting area in the boathose. We went in early September and the water was perfect temperature for swimming. Definitely would return!

Jay & Cynthia have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! The house had wonderful quality linens and lake towels for everyone and the beds were so soft it took no time to fall asleep. Our kids enjoyed the bunk room and the games in both the game closet and the garage.
The water amenities kept the children busy for hours. Kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles, tubes, water mat, and floats. You truly need to bring nothing to enjoy the water. The screened in dock area was perfect for lunch time and evening relaxing. There was ample space to tie the boat and jet skis off.
There was a detailed binder available when we arrived to outline the property and needs for our stay. Jay & Cynthia were very responsive when we had questions.
The cove is well located floating and kids playing without worry of main lake traffic. You’re a short boat ride to the marina and the view is absolutely breathtaking.
You really couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of toys to keep everyone busy from 12 to 80 and the house worked very well for 10 of us. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We would stay again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway
This was one of the best properties we have stayed in so far. It gave you a sense of a home away from home. The kitchen pantries were fully stocked. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all setup as if you were coming in as a guest. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, etc. Every room was setup just as you see it in the photos. The college kids had a ball in their man cave and the game room in the garage. And the best part was the amazing views of the lake.
We hope to be back again next year! Everyone truly enjoyed! Thank you for a great stay!

This was one of the best properties we have stayed in so far. It gave you a sense of a home away from home. The kitchen pantries were fully stocked.
