One of the BEST homestay experiences!

🥰 If you want a loving, caring, helpful & fun family to stay with...then you've found them! Suresh & his wife Suju have been running their homestay for 2yrs & have hosted hundreds of guests which is no wonder, as their pretty & colourful place stands out from the rest & also because they're just wonderful hosts! 🥕🥦🍅They keep a strictly vegetarian kitchen & cook delicious meals for their family & guests & no alcohol is permitted- think of it as a good place to abstain from it for a while👌 🏘 The beautiful homestay is in a quiet, hillside village, 2km from town, which you either walk to or jump in a shared taxi to, for Rs20. 🏨 It has a rooftop terrace (which is great for yoga) & an incredible view of the valley, other colourful houses & the majestic snow capped Mt Kanchenjunga... I booked for 5 nights, but I loved it, so I stayed for 7! 😊 💟🙏🏻Thanks to Suresh & Suju for creating a place for me & fellow travellers to come to & feel at home (when we're 1000's of miles away from ours)

The one & only thing I can mention is that you need to be ok with walking up hills as its 30mins walk into town or 7mins walk to a shared taxi to town.

The accomodation was excellent. Services are very nice. Can be stayed with families. Fantastic hosts

The accomodation was very nice. Particularly the host Suresh Chatri and his wife looked after us like their own brothers. The served delicious dishes to us. We all the group of friends felt as if we we with our relatives. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Decoration is beautiful. The flower plants arranged in the premises are very very nice and left an unforgettable impression on our group of friends.We wish would like to visit in near future.

This homestay is phenomenal! I never experienced such warm hearted hosts - they took extremely well care of us and treat

Far from the hustle bustle of the city, Kabeeraalaya is situated in the lap of nature. Very calm and homely atmosphere. The host, Mr. & Mrs. Suresh chhetri treats guests as their family members. Special mention to Mrs. Chhetri, she is a great host. Must visit for family stay.

You need to walk 200-300 meters to reach Kabeeraalaya home stay.

From the moment we arrived at Kabiraalaya homestay and met Suresh and Suju we knew we had found the perfect homestay. Suresh met us with a friendly smile in the driveway and walked us to their home. Suju then met us with her beautiful smile and we were presented with khata. The welcome was very special. We met their lovely son and Suresh's mother who also helped to look after us. Our room and bathroom had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Suju showed us the shortcut to the road and gave us good directions for exploring the town. The location is so peaceful and quiet but also only a short walk to the town, markets, and toy train. The food they prepared for us was delicious. The best we have eaten in India We loved the views from the balcony and their garden is amazing with flowers and lots of vegetables. We enjoyed cups of hot tea and popcorn made the traditional way. They helped us arrange our hike by connecting us to a local guide and giving us a lot of information from their own experiences. We feel very blessed to have experienced this homestay We met as strangers and left as family.

Amazing homestay

Our stay at the Kabiraalaya homestay was outstanding. The host was friendly and helpful, making us feel at home. The location is quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful mountain view. And the rooms are immaculately clean. This homestay was well worth it. Anyone looking for a homestay should stay here.

Place to call a HOME.

Exceptional place. Room was clean and comfy, nice terrace on top with beautiful views. Balconies full of flowers and trees, adding it's own charm. Owner was super helpful and carrying. Calm place to stay away from the town hustle and noise. Connection is good, so centre is easily accessible. Had delicious dinner every evening, surrounded with family members together with nice talks by the cup of tea. Felt like real HOMESTAY. Will come back!

What a Great Hotel

This hotel is absolutely superb ,the room are spotlessly clean and comfortable, thanku to suresh bhaiya and her wife how they maintain this hotel. The most important thing i like this hostel that they are pure vegetarian and in darjeeling getting pure vegetarian hotel is very difficult.It is great and enjoyable time for me and my family to stay in this hotel.I would highly recommend to everyone to meet them and book this hostel.If in future i ever come to darjeeling i book this hotel only❤️.
