I would not stay here again.

This is a very cute apartment in a great location, very close to Gran Via shopping and the metro station. It is also close to the gay village, which i only found out on arrival so useful if this is on your to-do list. There are many great restaurants and cafes close by and great dining options. The unit itself does not have air conditioning per se, but there is cooling through the floor and, with the help of the fans, it was manageable to stay there even during the heat wave.

Several things would not make me stay here again, despite everything mentioned above. Firstly, travelling to a different location to pick up the keys was certainly not pleasant and i only foynd this out after making a non-refundable booking. Second, there seemed to be an issue every single day we stayed at the apartment, and while the host was very helpful, it certainly wasnt nice to have a handy man over every day to address these problems. This included a broken shelf, flickering lights, electricity that got disconnected out of the blue and missing toilet paper. Because of how frequently we needed to contact the host, i turned a blind eye on many other things, like the presence of flying moths in the entire apartment, flickering lights again after they were fixed initially and very thin walls and very noisy neighbours quite late into the night. Finally, the building itself was quite old and dirty (although the unit itself was admittedly clean) as was the street leading to it. This means that there were cockroaches every single night in the building leading to the elevator as well as at the entry door. Being there during the parade was definitely not an experience i would repeat as people would just sit, socialize and dine at the building door all night since it was so busy everywhere. The worst part of this entire stay however was on the last day, just before departure when the elevator itself stopped working. This meant that we had to carry 6 pieces of very heavy luggage down 8 flights of stairs (the unit is on the 4th floor), which resulted in us missing our scheduled ride and being charged for it too. When i passed this information to the host, i got no more than an apology because they are not able to predict when electricity problems happen, although as I mentioned, several electrical problems happened during our few days of stay already.

Nice property terrible check-in

the property is lovely good for 2 and third one in the sofa. the only reason i ranked it low due to to the bad check-in process.

the checkin was messy. getting a key from one side of the town and the property is on the other side. for us we got to the second property the keys were not there. the wifi didnt work. we reported they said they will fix it they didnt.

A great located apartment in Madrid

The location of the apartment is excellent. The apartment is large and very spacious for a family. Well equipped. Linens and towels are sufficient and clean. A large and well-equipped kitchen. The apartment is very quiet despite the central and noisy location.

The apartment is a little dark, you need to increase the lighting because there is not much natural light from the windows. Some of the bulbs did not work. The internet is really bad, the internet needs to be replaced and strengthened. Please note that the elevator goes up directly to the apartment, the elevator door is the apartment door. Some have an advantage and others have a disadvantage
