Location was amazing, we really enjoyed Tavira. Staff were very helpful in telling us what to see given our available time.
The bed wasn't very comfortable. We had been told there were vegan breakfast options - which was a pleasant surprise - but then they turned out to be ..cakes? Just was a bit of a surprise. It was nice they had some options, but they weren't what we expected so we ended up eating elsewhere

A Muralha is very conveniently located to major sites, restaurants, the bridges across the river, and shopping. Our room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Haha - the stairs. Our room was on the second floor, but up three flights of stairs and no elevator. Wouldn't have been all that bad if we weren't traveling for a month so our suitcases were heavy. The other thing was that there was very easy access to the hotel itself if you weren't a guest there. Didn't seem to be a real issue in Tavira, but it was a little different.

The location was amazing. We were in a very quiet room overlooking the pedestrian street at the back of the hotel. The room was cleaned and towels changed daily if you wanted. The hotel is basic but very clean and staff were so friendly and helpful
The 44 steps up to the 2nd floor….. but we got used to them and were experts at the end of our stay🤣

Great location, very close to all the key sites in town, as well as restaurants, castle and museums.
The breakfast was very good, with lots of selections of both savory and sweet items.
The front desk staff was very helpful
The room was much more basic than what we expected. No kettle, safe, or fridge. Very basic furniture. In a lot of ways, what we would have expected from a budget hotel.
The room had two major tripping hazards. The one leading out to what was probably the balcony wasn't an issue, but the odd step up upon entering the bathroom was: it would be an easy one to miss for a late-night trip to the toilet or when trying to exit the shower, especially since the tiles were all the same colour.
The daily room cleaning was inconsistent: we never got new drinking glasses and the changing of the towels varied by the day, regardless of where we left them.
