We were very lucky to get a little upgrade to a room upstairs with a patio. The room was very nice although completely you could here everything from the other rooms as the attic is kind of open and all connected to the other rooms. It is well located near by stellenbosch if you do have a car. The Garden is currently under construction but I can tell, it will look beautiful once it’s done.

The pool is not very inviting it’s time to change pool furniture as they are not in the best condition. Breakfast offer definitely need to be improved. You have only one Choice of a very limited menu.1 coffee OR juice is included - for water you have to pay extra. Very odd.

Very disappointing and a complete ripoff

Nice bathroom, friendly service, overall pretty setting but unfortuntaly thats all.

There were 2 massive 21birthday parties going on on BOTH nights we were there, so Friday and Saturday night and our room was basically direclty located next to their event space. It was crazy loud and we didnt get any proper rest. Around 11 PM when the music was still going on we checked with the manager who then sorted it out real quick and it got quiet very soon but still, the fact there was so much going on basically the entire weekend when we wanted to come there to relax was very disturbing. Also, our room description said we would get a "garden suite with a private garden" next to it - and given the quite steep price we paid I definitely expected much much better for the room. Our "garden" was placed DIRECTLY in front of a parking lot - our room was not even equipped with a mini fridge (would have expected that with a "suite") and there were always garden workers outside directly in front of our room, so I felt like we had no privacy at all. Then, for the breakfast, only filter coffee was included, I had to pay for a cappuccino and an orange juicy extra (again, I paid A LOT for this 2 nights stay and would have expected to have those drinks included). Breakfast staff was friendly but acted very confused, kept bringing our orders to another table etc. And lastly, on that one day we were promised to get a "breakfast to go" since we had to leave very early in the morning for a running event. There was absolutey no staff member to be found in the hotel at this time (it was around 6 AM on a Saturday and again, this request was communicated on the day before and confirmed by the lady who has checked us in.

The room was soooooo tiny!! The guy that welcomes you has a dog around and when you tell him scared of dogs he says “There’s a first time for everything, we’ll deal with it when it does something” WTF!!!!!

Good apart from being locked out.

Lovely restaurant and pool. Self catering if you were staying longer. Lovely gardens just started so they will be beautiful.

We were locked out on arrival despite telling them we would be arriving off a flight arriving at around 7 pm which we did. Gate was locked and no way to access the property at all unless you had an SA phone fully charged and in data which we did not as we’re traveling from France!! We hooted and eventually another guest heard us and came to our assistance with a local phone. Not a good way to start one’s stay and if she hadn’t heard we’d have been locked out all night!!

Terrible. My wife and I packed up, and left at midnight. We did notify the establishment about our decision at the time, and subsequently wrote to them to describe our experience, but have not had any reply.

Leider enttäuschend

An dem Wochenende waren sehr viele Veranstaltung, so dass es sehr laut war. Zudem vermitteln die Bilder von den Zimmern einen falschen Eindruck. Es gibt keinen eigenen Balkon, sondern einen Gemeinschaftsbalkon für 5 Zimmer und Dusche & WC ist komplett offen... Seit 2 Monaten versuche ich mein Geld wieder zubekommen, da die Unterkunft zweimal abgebucht hat, bisher ohne Erfolg... Ich kann die Unterkunft leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Comfortable for an one night stay over.

The breakfast was good and the location was perfect in the light of our function only 2km from there.

The lighting in the room is poor and it is an extremely small room, that can get very warm. The bathroom end up wet when one shower.

It was average. I would probably not consider this establishment again.

The location was great, close to the venue where we attended a wedding.

The rooms were clean and charming, but bathrooms were really small, I battled to get around. I had to basically climb over the toilet to get into the shower. One of my friends rooms did not have warm water for both days, which is not acceptable.

Alex treated us very well but everyone here was superb!

the pool had sun and shade so we had the best of both worlds and I got to lounge in the pool while my partner relaxed in the shade :) The staff were insane as well so much fun and the tree out the back near the petrol pump was so funny it was a real paradise.

the wine wasn’t made on site :0 but we enjoyed it all :)

It could've been much better

The property is beautiful. The outdoor dining area by the bar is well set up around a huge tree. The food and cocktails were good, and there was a nice vibe on the Friday we were there, live music and a dj. The staff were great - very friendly and accommodating.

We didn't get any assistance with luggage to our rooms from reception. We were not aware that our rooms (with private bathrooms) were in a communal setting - shared house with a shared kitchen and lounge. This is a couple of meters from the main building and reception. There was no indication or description of a communal setup when booking. The bed (in the room at the end of the hall) is extremely uncomfortable, you can feel the springs! There were no mosquito nets over the beds or the windows. The fan goes off during loadshedding and the room becomes really hot so you have to choose between being cool & getting bitten or uncomfortably hot & mosquito free. If you're not around to close your windows before dark then you get chowed either way. The main building which also has rooms, looked like it was supported by a generator during loadshedding as it was lit up. Our building wasn't, except for the passage light. The WiFi was down during our first 24hrs there. I do note it is an 8-month-old establishment, so I hope customer feedback is considered and things improve.

Did not enjoy our stay here at all.

Breakfast was ok, was included in our price but we were surprised to pay extra for cappuccino and juice.

We were put in the gatehouse on the outskirts of the property, close to the main road which was noisy and also sharing with random other guests. The decor was dated, beds were hard and it had an unpleasant smell in the gatehouse.

Only a ceiling fan, and without Aircon, the mosquitoes was a huge problem. Asked for another fan without luck. It’s also more of a function venue.
