The Chalet du haut du bout is a house located at an altitude of 650m, entirely private. Set on a 7000m² plot of land on the edge of the forest, from its south-facing wooden terrace, you have a panoramic view of the blue line of the Vosges, and the Fraize valley. The first neighbor is 75 m away.

Refurbished in the summer of 2020, you have 3 bedrooms, one of which is equipped with PRM with its bathroom, and a second bathroom wc upstairs, an equipped kitchen, and a large living room with panoramic view. Upstairs, mezzanine reading area with view.

Access by car: do not go through Mandray in winter or if your GPS takes you through Ban de Laveline or La croix aux mines, at the Col de Mandray, go straight down. Do not turn right on the Jean François Pelé road, (not very passable road)

In snowy or icy weather, it is imperative to bring equipment for your vehicle (Altitude 650m)

Electric vehicles: a dedicated domestic socket (2.5kw) can be made available with express authorization from the landlord (billing not included). To be used preferably at night.

Main entrance (wood cladding wall), 2 parking spaces, (do not park on the lawn), access to the chalet by the small staircase to the east entrance, or ring the bell at the basement entrance.


North entrance (path/barrier) the barrier is just stuck in the stirrup, lift the bar holding it to its maximum opening position. Narrow path, walk down, 4 parking spaces (do not park on the lawn).

Outside: Do not climb on dry stone walls, there is no sealing, therefore unstable and fragile - Do not pick plants without permission (beware of foxgloves: toxic plants) - Outdoor furniture is mainly made of exotic wood, it is simply oiled, please protect it with a cover, cushion or tablecloth.

South wooden terrace: Highly flammable waterproofing materials, no smoking on it, no barbecue or plancha.
Do not walk barefoot (splinters).
Close the parasol and bring in the cushions when you leave the chalet (rain/wind), put the deckchairs under the roof.

Summer cooking: clean the plancha or barbecues after use. Use only the plancha in windy or dry weather, turn off the barbecues well after use: risk of fire.


Entrance: Please wipe his feet on the doormat to avoid getting stones on the floor - Take off your working or ski boots, access through the basement.
Be careful with heels, marks on parquet.

Interior: Handling of the sliding doors (bay window) gently, to be closed imperatively in case of rain, wind or snow, close the shutters in case of snow or heavy rain - it is possible that the large shutters lock in the high position, in summer (strong sunshine), do not force the manoeuvre - Do not leave windows and doors open at the same time as the heating, the latter will stop automatically. A vmc ensures ventilation and the humidity level. Prefer the tilt-and-turn opening for windows.
Do not leave with the skylight open in the upstairs bathroom (storm/rain) - Mattress protector mandatory on bedding (provided).


Wood stove: do not put anything on the stone (stains), open and close the door slowly to prevent the ashes from flying, avoid paper to light the fire, prefer the fire starters or the torch provided. A shovel and a brush are at your disposal under the wood (do not use the vacuum cleaner for ashes)
