Additionally there is a very nice hiking trail about a half mile from the property, and a playground/pool area right near the unit. There's a shopping center .7 miles from the complex (2 min drive / 10 min walk) that has a Starbucks and a few other restaurants. Detailed check in instructions will be sent before arrival, but guest can self check-in and will get access to a digital key pad to enter the unit. We are your hosts, Ian and Matt! Western Reno is one of the safest and most upscale areas of Reno. It has a suburban feel, while still only being about 8 minutes from the downtown casinos and midtown cafes that Reno is known for. The other advantage is it's in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, so even closer to all of the great attractions that Lake Tahoe has to offer, such as skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer! This is an Uber / Lyft friendly complex, with easy pickups from the airport or other parts of Reno. We also have a designated parking spot and plenty of other free parking for guests to bring their own cars. We offer two other apartments in the same complex that are of a similar size/make up, so if you're traveling with a group larger than 6 or would like to explore our other options/additional availability, please send us a message so that we can share the other listings with you! Alternatively, if you go to our host page, you will be able to see all of the listings that we offer in Reno. Since our unit is on Western Reno, this is an ideal place to stay for ski trips or summer adventures in Lake Tahoe, whether you're going to Northstar, Squaw & Alpine, or just visiting the lake! Being only 10 minutes from downtown Reno as well, it's a nice location for some peace and quiet with proximity to the city. Let us know if you have any questions about the many attractions that surround the Western Reno area. - Please do not enter the Leasing Office/front desk for help or questions (the office is only used for prospective renters of the complex). This was a great place for our family overflow! We were visiting my in-laws and needed a place to stay that was close to Somerset. My 82 year old mom was with us and it was perfect for her because there were no stairs and a clear walkway to condo. The parking place is a bit away from condo but Ian and Matt are very open and honest about it ahead of time. My husband would drop my mom off and then go park the car. It was a non-issue for us and it was easy to drop her off and then go park.

We spent a night at Matt and Ian's condo and took advantage of the pool, hot tub, and playground. They were all great. We even brought our own towels for the pool just in case we needed to but Matt and Ian provided them. The accommodations themselves are also wonderful. Space for everyone and it had everything we needed. Burger Me is close by and has excellent food. We had a great stay.

This was the perfect place for me and my adult daughters to meet to plan my youngest daughters wedding.
Clean, quiet, efficient property!
I would highly recommend it.

My husband and our two children (14 & 12) had a lovely stay in Reno for Spring Break. The condo was clean and well-appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and entertainment. Other positives were privacy & little road/ambient noise, as the condo is on the back side of the building. Beds were comfortable and I was going to write about the pillows only to discover a stash in the Master closet that we overlooked. Had we been more observant, we would have had comfy pillows all week. Oh well.
The Pool and hot tub at the community center are heated year-round, so while there was still snow on the ground and in the air, my children were able to swim every day. A Big Deal for them which made our stay that much better.
Hiking was close, and while we'd planned on driving the snowy pass to go to Lake Tahoe, the weather was against us, and we had to skip that. BUT! Reno had so many other things to do like escape rooms, indoor activity centers for kiddos, arcades, parks - it was a really great visit, and I was really impressed with how close everything was in Reno. No more than a 15-20 min drive to do our activities.
Just a few items that would have made our stay that much more comfortable: Facial tissue in bathrooms/bedrooms would have been nice (we bought some), a larger pot for cooking meals - the largest one available only held only about 8 cups - and there was only one. So, making spaghetti sauce + Noodles was an adventure!
Thank you for sharing your space!

The checkin process was easy. The hosts were very responsive. The parking was pretty crowded but we had one reserved spot and it was easy to find another. The kitchen is big and clean but we didn’t use it. Overall, I would recommend if you need to stay in the somerset area.

This property is as advertised. Clean, easy check-in instructions and comfortable beds. TV has a lot of good streaming services. Parking is a short walk away so unload at the curb at the end of the driveway before parking.

For the price, this was not worth it. We arrived at the location later in the evening and found that the parking was farther away than the apartment location, but was not the biggest deal. When we got into the apartment at first it seemed nice, but on further inspection things were not as clean as I was hoping (especially since we get charged a cleaning fee). The shower was dirty, as was the rug that you would step onto to get out of the shower. The beds didn't smell like clean laundry, it smelt like they poured a bottle of febreeze on both beds including pillows. We ended up sleeping on the air mattress because it was so overpowering with fragrance. Also, I noticed the internet router was right under the bed where your head would be. If anyone knows anything about the harms of this, they will understand. Needless to say, I personally will not be staying here again. I would suggest a little more effort in the cleaning department.

No check in instructions were listed online. The owner/manager's number wasn't listed. I tried to message them through the system but didn't get a response. I had to call VRBO to get their number. Checkin was difficult and confusing.
There was no parking near the apartment. We had a lot of luggage and refrigerator items and the parking was very inconvenient. The apartment is all the way at the back of the building only accessible by walking which makes the lack of parking even more difficult.
The place was clean and attractive.
There was only one hand towel for the entire master bathroom.

We had a girls spa weekend (aka momma’s trip away) and we really loved this property. I highly recommend staying here when in Reno. It’s a luxury living complex with nice pool, jacuzzi and fire pits. We had a beautiful Mountain View from our windows and right when you walked outside. Definitely a better view than staying in downtown Reno. But it was super close to the freeway and easy to head downtown. We were just about 8 mins from downtown so it made it very easy for us to go downtown for eating and for our spa day at Atlantis Spas. If you’re looking for a great breakfast/brunch place Pine State Biscuits is amazing and a definite must. Also the hosts Ian & Matt are wonderful and quick to communicate.
