"Antonio was great, we came in late and he waited for us to open the apartment. He also helped with the luggage. A lot of steps to get to the apartment, but that’s Amalfi.."

About this house rental

Villa Arcangela An is a charming and welcoming detached house located on a hillside overlooking the sea. It sleeps five people.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Arcangela A. If you do have one, you can park it for a fee in a public parking lot in downtown Amalfi (since it is a public lot, parking spaces cannot be reserved). Villa Arcangela An is one of the vacation homes available in a small complex. Please find a general description of the complex below, and please scroll further down for a description of Villa Arcangela A.
Villa Arcangela An and B are two apartments that are part of a medieval building, which used to be an ancient Saracen watchtower. It is situated high up on a picturesque stretch of rocky coastline, at an elevation of approximately 100 meters (330 feet) above sea level, and almost sheer above the sea itself. Every view of the seascape in this area is truly breathtaking.

The building is part of a cluster of ancient houses clinging to the top of a rocky outcrop, all facing the sea and the sun, and surrounded by lemon groves. Here, the authentic locals of Amalfi live their lives at a quiet, unhurried pace, and there are no crowds of tourists.

You’ll reach it by walking uphill for about 20 meters (20 yards) along a short pedestrian alley. Once through the main door, you’ll find yourself in a small courtyard, enclosed on three sides by white walls, with the fourth side opening onto a spectacular view of the coast and the sea.

Incredible view from the patio. The unit is conveniently located with regards of public transportation as you can take either the Pogerola or Agerola line to get there. A bus stop right in front. Antonio welcomed us in and made sure everything was perfect. We had a blast and will definitely consider this unit again when we come back to Amalfi. Grazie. Merci !

Just as listed. Carlo is an outstanding host. Difficult connecting with property manager for check in, but super kind and helpful during our stay. Be prepared to use the bus when staying here! The bus stop is 250 feet from the door. You will help yourself by getting the SITA SUD bus schedule online before you arrive. You will live like a local which is what we hoped for.

It was a little smaller than what it appeared online. However the host was great.
