Definently will be coming back. Check in was easy, hotel was clean and presentable, the room was modern and cozy, very comfortable and zero complaints.

They are in the process of renovations. However, it did not disrupt our trip. The amenities are all still available. The breakfast was wonderful. The new showers were amazing. The beds and pillows were the best we've encountered in quite some time.

Didn’t realize that the property was in renovation. Our room was old, floors very dirty, blinds were broken and cabinets were pretty worn and banged up. Even the hallways looked pretty rough with paint chips on the corners of the walls and dirty carpets. For the price it would have been nice to get a newly renovated room. Likely will not return to that location.

The room was impeccably clean. Dove brand toiletries were very nice. Every employee we came across was super helpful. Even breakfast was surprisingly good.

Friendly staff. Newly renovated lobby, breakfast area and almost all rooms. Our room was newly renovated, comfortable, and had everything we needed including a small fridge.

They were working on the remodeling and our room was on the floor they were working on the smell was very strong with either paint or plaster smell. Our room had some marks on the floor that didn’t look as being cleaned.

The accommodations were excellent, but we had on our reservations a room with 2 double beds, and we got a room with a King size bed and a pullout sofa and we were told they did not bother to inform us of the difference because they felt the pullout was the same as a bed...not what we wanted.

The parking was lacking. We had to park at the Hampton Inn and walk over to our hotel. The people on the other side of us were yelling at 2:30 am after I was woken up by some loud noise and what sounded like slamming doors. It last for over 30 minutes.

The bed and sheets were super soft and comfortable. The room was a good size. Breakfast was great. The only things I didn't like were the fact there's only one elevator, its not very big and it takes awhile. Also the night we were there the parking lot was packed, every single space was taken.

My wife and I were traveling to Tennessee with 5 of our grandchildren. The room and hotel were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was kind and welcoming! I noticed at check in that they seemed a little tired so I asked if it was a tough day and they said super busy, every room booked!
With that in mind you would think that someone would have notified the breakfast team!
Breakfast was a disaster! They ran out of coffee and their only hot food was some tiny sausage biscuits, I honestly have never seen them this small! They were bite size! No pancakes or waffles! No regular oatmeal, just the instant packages and some bread! We just left and went to a restaurant!

The hotel was under construction which we have dealt with before, but the room we had was obviously not ready for guests. It had just been painted and the door was propped open upon arrival. There was not a closet or anywhere to hang clothes, no chair, and no towel rods in the bathroom. The associate who checked us in said there was nothing she could do and that we could talk to the manager about getting a partial refund seeing as the room was not up to the standard we have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. The manager was not available until the day we checked out and she said there was nothing she could do as far as a partial refund or a partial credit for a future stay.
The whole experience was quite disappointing especially as Holiday Inn Express is our go-to hotel for all our road trips. We feel the manager could have worked with us a little bit, but she made it sound like it was our fault for choosing a hotel that was going through renovations.

I believe the whole property was under renovation, so that might explain some of the issues we had. The one and only elevator in the hotel wasn't working when we checked in so we had to carry our luggage to the 3rd floor via the stairs. The room felt a little like a prison cell/dorm room. No pictures on the wall, no mirrors (except for one in the bathroom), empty spaces where it looked like something should have been there, furniture that didn't match, fluorescent lighting, towels with holes in them, etc... The hotel had very good reviews when we booked, so we were a bit surprised by our experience. The shower was nice, the beds were okay, and the breakfast was good. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, so it served its purpose. I probably wouldn't choose to stay there again if I came back to the Richmond area again though. Perhaps once renovations are completed the hotel will once again match the previous good reviews.

The parking lot didn’t seem big enough for the amount of rooms and the amount of people to those rooms. Some people had to park in the grass in the lot behind the hotel.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfy! Had no problems during our stay and would definitely return here. The breakfast was delicious!

Floor in room was vinyl no carpet. Shower floor was so slick it was hard not to slip and fall. No bath soap bottle was completely empty.
