This hotel is very overpriced for the quality of it. I had booked a room titled as ”Grand Premium” but it really was far from premium. A very basic room with outdated interior, really worn out bathroom, broken lamp in the room, a really noisy fridge and a loud airconditioning that hardly worked. The common facilities are nice, but the reception staff wasn’t very helpful and the room wasn’t cleaned well enough.
Overall, I was very disappointed in this hotel as Melia normally has quality hotels (I’ve stayed in many), but this is not one of them. I wouldn’t stay here again, and it was definitely not worth the price of over 200 euros / 1000 reais per night.

I’ve been to NYC and have seen: Phantom of the opera , Mama Mia, Sound of Music, Jesus Christ superstar, Aquarius , Lion King, Joseph, and His Amazing Technicolor Coat and the production at the Melina Hotel was the same as Broadway. Unbelievable!!! Fantastic. Thank you

The hotel needs to improvement’s on service.
I had 4 luggage the guys in front just watched us and didn’t helped.
Checking in, took so long even though I did the pre-check in on the app.
The maids doesn’t know how to make the bed. The sheets were always on top
They have a hard time to bring information.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Room was not nice. For the price, too simple, boring, sad.

The property is welll located close to Paulista. Ave, Consolacao and Augusta st. There are lots of restaurants around and good bar options if you go down Augusta st.
I just missed good coffee shops.
The hotel team exercises good customer service !

Hotel feels old, despite clean.

Horrible I will never comeback! Bathroom was disgusting, the shelf above the toilet was following of the wall, shower area looks like a public bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable. I will never comeback
The most awful experience. Oh another thing on the website says parking available, but it is not mention that guest will have to pay.

Good location to walk to restaurants and shopping areas. Safer area of town. Hotel rooms and common areas dated. Not necessary plugs for business travelers in rooms and overall dated decor. Food during breakfast and overall restaurant experience below average. Staff friendly and attentive.

There are only 2 redeeming factors for this hotel, the staff and the location - both fantastic.
Lets start by saying this is not, and should not be advertised as a 5 star hotel. The room, while quite large, was deteriorating and unclean. Your feet gathered dirt as you walk through the room.
The bathroom was oddly small given the room was so large. The shower was good but overall the bathroom needs a renovation.
The bed was not very comfortable and the air conditioning was dirty and moist and massively impacted my sinuses. As a result of both issues, I struggled to sleep.
The staff were fantastic and all spoke perfect English.
Overall, if you want a secure hotel right on Paulista then this is fine. But if you want comfort then you’ll be disappointed.
I’ve stayed in Melia hotels before and they have quite a good name and this hotel did not meet the usual Melia standards.

It was great having the heated indoor pool, so I could swim every day regardless of the weather. The staff was excellent, friendly, quick to provide service and helpful. I recommend having them arrange for your taxi to and from the airport as it was only $36 US to go from GRU airport to hotel. Another driver charged me $160 to go the same distance. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fruits, cakes, pastries, and savory items. One complaint, their key cards are horrible. I had to get them replaced about 7 or 8 times in only one week, but they always replaced them for me quickly. Also, do not pull your iPhone out for pictures on the street, as I know a couple people who had theirs stolen, one right in front of the hotel. But the walk down Paulista ave is great with lots of live music, great food, and art museums.

We stayed there before the new year. clean and its accessibility is really convenient to reach different areas around the city.
The bike and metro station are in front of the hotel.

This hotel is ok. It is clean however it is not a 5 star hotel by any means.

The hotel is very nice, but it should be improved. The A/C, the refrigerator and the hairdrier in my room were not working properly. The water available in the swimming pool was not cold. The swimming pool area is very decent but should have more life, with more seats for the guests. The reception is a little bit clumsy and the hotel lacks management. The hotel location is wonderful and very convenient for tourism. In general, the employees are very sweet considering the frantic side of this enormous and cosmopolitan city.

Hotel location is perfect as a tourist. The look and feel of the hotel is great. I did find the service to be lacking for a 5 star hotel.

The check in was a total mess with internet going down all the time. Initial guy at reception kept telling me I couldn’t check in early but when I saw other guests arriving and checking in early I went and ask and he said no room available rooms so went back to a lady 5 mins after and she immediately had a room for me. With regards to the room it was definitely a 2 star quality and I paid for an upgrade which was around d. 3 star. The hotel quality is more 3 star and the staff are rude. No way is this a 5 star

Stayed in the Junior suite but there was a noise coming from the wall. I have notified them about this to the staff but nothing has been done. I had to reserve another hotel and check out a day early.

This place needs serious updates. The wall is so dirty and the closet smells fungus on top of questionable bed sheets and dirty towels.

Melia Paulista is a modern hotel that is clean, has friendly service, and is conveniently located next to a Metro station.
Do not stay in Room 2319 as whilst the room itself is nice, it is right beside the central air-condition unit for the whole hotel so it is affected by both noise and vibration (particularly the wall closest to where you lay your head to sleep).
The service was a bit varied - we had both excellent and poor service regarding getting a new room for our 2nd night. The first attendant was too busy to help & said he would call our room back, but after waiting some hours without hearing back from Reception I went down to ask again and was given an upgraded room om the same floor (Room 2308) at no extra charge.
Breakfast was included in the room rate and this was to a relatively good standard. A dedicated cook for omelettes & Brazilian crepes, plus a nice, if somewhat small buffet selection. The dining area is a bit small so it can get a bit noisy when full, but the staff are attentive and helpful (despite my lack of portuguese language skills).
On the whole I would recommend this hotel for it's location and comfort, although it's not necessarily a bargain price-wise. However, we had a nice stay & I would go back if the opportunity arises again.

Contudo, coloca a experiência a perder com pessimo atendimento para check in e check out. Preprare se para perder 40 minutos na chegada e na partida.

The room and bathroom were simply too outdated for me. Don’t wanna bash the hotel though. The room may be just right for you. Customer service was good at the reception. Also I think they could user higher quality cards to use on the elevator. It sucks when you get on the elevator and your card doesn’t work so you have to go back and wait in line at the reception to have your card reprogrammed. Several people had this issue. Hotel is in a good location. That’s a definite pro.

Excelente atendimento de recepção, assim como variedade e qualidade do café da manha. O quarto precisa ser reformado, especialmente o banheiro, pois não é compatível com o padrão e valor pago para o Meliã. A localização é excepcional.
