When we arrived at the hotel address, the door was locked; no one was there to let us in. we hadn’t received any mail before arrival. we spent more than an hour with help from strangers to finally reach the owner and she finally asked someone to open the door. There is no air conditioning and no screen on the window. we got bitten by mosquitoes all over. the only redeeming thing about this place was its location.

Property certainly did not look as represented in the pictures. Outside rough shape could use paint. Room just ok . Not as pictured. The bathroom needs a complete cleaning including the ceiling lamp. All ledges full of built up dust. I will add that the contact person was very helpful providing information and getting us to property.

The room and bathroom have a royal size. The location is very good (5 minutes walk from Rialto bridge). Unfortunately the owner had an issue with the heating central reason for which we had no warm water during our stay. The owner offered a discount for the inconvenience but unfortunately I had to chase a lot for the refund after coming back from holiday. This did affect my experience in a negative way with them after all.

Carolina , the lady that helped us checkin was delightful and very helpful . Unfortunately the property had no hot water which wasnt very pleasant after a full day on the road travelling . Carolina notified us that there would be no hot water and that we could cancel our reservation . It was too late for us to cancel but carolina assured us we would get a refund from expedia . We are hopeing to hear from expedia regarding a full refund .

Good service and clean room and bathroom. Kitchen provided as well. Convenient location but had to carry luggage over many bridges - comes with Venice.

The property was quiet with shopping and restaurants close by. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The property manager micromanaged some. Directions to the airport were somewhat difficult.

Good value in a quieter area in Venice and still close to everything you want to see.

Support from operator to check in was inadequate. Stuck at building entrance for over an hour in rain and windy weather. Operator cannot be reached by phone or WhatsApp. Finally get in after some from inside exited.

We liked being located in this large square, a close walk to the Rialto nridge area. Our room was very comfortable, room 2 with private bath. Good water pressure and hot water for showering. We never saw any other guests so it seemed like we had the kitchen and dining room to ourselves. We liked coming back for lunch and then out again with new energy to walk, walk, walk.

Flora was in touch the day before we arrived and closer to our arrival she kept in touch. We arrived a little later due to getting lost but this did not bother Flora who was sending details and waiting on us. We were checked in and given loads of information regarding sight seeing and restaurants etc. The place was spotlessly clean, smelled lovely and warm as it was cold outside. The room was really nice and to be honest there was not a single thing anyone could find fault with this place. We will be back in the summer.

The property was lovely, especially given the affordability, and Caroline (property manager) and the other staff really did their best to make the stay enjoyable. The plaza it was located in was quiet but easy walking-distance to key Venice sights.

Fantastic location and high standard room for a very reasonable price. The proprietor has been very thoughtful with kitchen equipment, books, tea and coffee etc. A great stay!

Generally speaking the experience in Residenza al Pozzo was very nice. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. It has a small electric cooker where you can make coffee and cook. Clementine, the person in charge of the apartment was really nice and helpful. The location is very handy

Good location in the San Polo district of Venice. Short 15 min walk to rialto bridge, train station, or bus station for transport options. Quieter than touristy areas that was nice. Clean simple place with a very good price for the area. Kitchen was well furnished. Only downside was initial check-in took 30min+ to get someone to let me in, but I believe this was a one-off issue and the host responded via whatsapp quickly. Wi-fi also didn't reach my bedroom so had to use it in the kitchen area.

Comfortable apartments located on Campo San Polo! The property manager was amazing, communicating early and often with us to make sure checking in was as smooth as possible. The apartment we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and there was a common area with coffee and tea for us, along with a beautiful porch. It was about a 15 minute walk from the train station to reach the property, and from there it is less than 10 minutes to Rialto and the Grand Canal. Highly recommend for this looking for simple accomodation and a lovely place to rest after a long day of exploring Venice!

More like a hostel than hotel. No one around. All communication via whatsapp. Ok for the price but nothing special. Given the reviews, others seemed to have enjoyed more. Im glad others had a better experience.

Good location, easily accessed on foot, close to many popular attractions and the vaporreto. Bad wifi - perhaps because our room was right at the end of the hallway. Room had a musky smell when we first checked in. Furniture and fittings are generally old. Bathroom didn't have much ventilation, stall could have been cleaner, it had some black stains on the inside. Check-in: had to wait outside the apartment for abt 20-30mins before I was let in by the manager, who was uncontactable when I arrived. Communication was not the clearest but overall friendly.

Nice area, comfortable size room, private bathroom and a kitchen. Felt safe to sit outside during the evenings to people watch or just to get fresh air. Shops are close and a couple of restaurants also close. We enjoyed it.

This accomodation is a house with 3 guest rooms,communal kitchen and living area, we selected a room with private bathroom...it was clean and very spacious. The host was very lovely and helpful.It is also close to good restaurants and cafes..

We had a great time at Al Pozzo. Only 3 rooms, cozy, nice terrace, equipped with fridge and kitchen and coffee/tea. We had a great time at Al Pozzo. Only 3 rooms, cozy, nice terrace, equipped with fridge and kitchen and coffee/tea. We arrived before the check-in time but someone was able to remotely let us into the bldg. We kept good communication via texting, which was key. We were told hot water wasn't working on the day of our arrival but they fixed it before we got back from our activities and we had excellent showers through out stay. Cute spacious rooms with good wifi.This location was good for us because we had both easy access to the station (12m walk) and easy walk to San Marco/Rialto areas, which we ended up visiting every day. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants to call San Polo home for their Venice stay.

Pleasant stay in a good location of Venice. Positive: - good kitchen, a lot of equipment - location of the hotel Negative: - we have been there 3 nights and the towels were never changed. - for a day and a half there was no hot water in the shower. - the airco unit makes a lot of noise - the room was not very clean on arrival, sandy floor and hair in the bathroom.

Lovely apartment in the heart of Venice. The best thing about this apartment is its location. Even though it is located practically in the center of Venice it is totally quiet. Everything is close, the post office, multiple restaurants, grocery store or a Vaporetto stop can be reached within 10 minutes by foot.

The location and price was good, close to the train station and airport buses with good restaurants within easy walking distance.Great communication from the owner and good tips for your stay.Our room was noisy as we could hear other residents talking loudly in the shared kitchen and doors banging in the overall accommodation as it has marble floors. They also probably could have heard us when we left for our early flight, although we tried very hard to be quiet.There was some plaster coming off the wall which needed repairing.Personally I would prefer not to share a kitchen in future although I should have realised this.
