Located in San Marco, this attractive condo for $188 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Lovely and cosy Formosa apartment is just 5 min walking distance from S. Marco's Square and the Rialto Bridge. It' s located just few steps from Santa Maria Formosa one of the most characteristic place in Venice, in a typical Venetian building. Recently restored the apartment, of about 50 m², consists in a large open space with kitchen and living (with high wood beaming ceiling), satellite TV, Internet Wifi and double sofa bed. Kitchen is furnished with fridge and freezer, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher. The main bedroom has a King size bed, large wardrobe. Bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. Very original and prestigious ceilings represented by a truss structure. Parquet floor. Air conditioning, fan included and cradle available on request. All the rooms are very bright as lighted up by several windows. Supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, just nearby. Shopping: We are just around the corner from a Venetian supermarket, less than 1 min walk away. Shopping for food couldn't be easier. If you like fresh food go to the very famous Rialto mercato a daily food market (no Sunday) crammed with just fished fish, fresh fruit and vegetables just off Rialto bridge. Nearby the apartment there are various other small food outlets scattered around where you can buy meats, cheese, bread, etc. This will be a more interesting although challenging shopping experience than the supermarket. You will find many top brand shops antique and gift shops. How to Arrive: BY PLANE. How to get to the Rialto Bridge from “Marco Polo” the Venice airport: Best option direct connection take ALILAGUNA ORANGE LINE and get off at Rialto (50 minutes). Second option take bus Actv or Atvo to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma take the line 2 of the public water bus (we call it “vaporetto”) and get off at Rialto (about 12 minutes). How to get to the Rialto Bridge from “Treviso” airport: take coach Atvo to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma take the line 2 of the public water bus (we call it “vaporetto”) and get off at Rialto (about 12 minutes). Very special apartment with unique old atmosphere from beams. Nice view from windows. Very comfortable! Location is very privilege. There is a nice restaurant close by, not touristy, very good service and excellent food. And situated right on a canal. Ask the lady about this restaurant at a check in time. Go there! If you walk from Rielto bridge, that would be a street before your street on the left. Walk there and almost at the canal bridge the restaurant is on your right. Blinking lights outside are there. Really good place! So, combination of good accommodation, location and the restoran suggestion made my experience in Venice 5 stars.

this apartment is very central to lots of wonderful sights in Venice. It is a little shabby. It's clean but the furniture is minimal and not in good shape. The apartment was a very nice size and the kitchen was adequate for minimal use. The are 50 stairs to get to the apartment. it is not for the faint of heart!!! The host was good about check in. They met us and took us to the apartment. She actually lugged my bag up the stairs for me. That was very nice.

The apartment is lovely and in a perfect central location. Although Venice was hot during our visit, the AC was adequate and kept us comfortable.
The building entry and stair is a bit shabby - and remember it is a 3-story climb - but the unit is terrific, quiet and clean.

We loved this spot! It was in the heart of everything, but when you turn into your little lane, you see the lives of real Venetians going about their business. There is a climb to the top, but then you can look out and see the glorious rooftops of Venice. The spacious bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds are just the beginning. The truly great part is the kind and hospitable hosts who make sure everything is good and also explain Venice to you. We slept three people quite comfortably and just loved this magical hideaway over the rooftops of Venice, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The apartment was a very nice one bedroom. There was plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was also large. My main issue was the water heating system that was uncontrollable. It was not possible to control the water temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. The owner had left instructions but they were useless. Also, during my 4 night stay, I had to buy garbage bags, dish-washing liquid, laundry soap, and even toilet paper; all of which I donated to the owner when I left.The 4 flights of stairs weren't fun either.

The apartment is clean and comfortable. It is well situated for visiting all of the sights of Venice. There are essentials for cooking simple meals. Our only complaint was the many steep, narrow stairs to access the apartment which made it very difficult for two seniors. It should really be much more clear in the description that the apartment is not accessible for anyone with mobility issues.

The apartment is very centrally located, and walking to a near unlimited number of shops and restaurants is a breeze. Our greeter, Arrigo, was very helpful! He went out of his way to meet us at Rialto Dock when our Google Maps refused to work upon arrival. He also provided us with many recommendations- which we greatly appreciated. Yes, there are stairs - quite a few, which made our large luggage a bit difficult, but not really a problem. And as others have noted, we could not figure out the washing machine - at all. But again, not really a big deal. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would happily stay here again!

This spot is close to Rialto (vaporetto), Basicilla, and lots of shopping and restaurants. Be prepared for lots of steps to the fourth floor, which we weren’t. Would have been okay if we had not over-packed our bags. Overall a great stay!

The person welcoming us was very friendly and helpful.
The apartment is centrally located, with convenient access to all the sights and the train station. It is just one building behind a busy walking area with shops and restaurants, but facing an inner courtyard, so nice and quiet.
The kitchen had everything needed and the beds were super comfortable.
We would definitely stay again. However, the apartment may not be suitable for someone who has trouble with stairs. The apartment is located on the fourth floor (four flights of stairs) and the building does not have an elevator.

They tried to charge extra money (cash only) for us to check in. Then we missed our connecting flight and came in late and they wouldn’t let us into the apartment until the following afternoon even though we had paid for the entire previous day. They don’t care about the renters. They only care about making money.

To many steps.
To many steps hall was dark and hard to navigate, Towel heater was dirty our towels came off dirty when we hung them there. Hard to use stove kept turning off. No instructions on how to use washer. Two people in our party had asthma attacks when in side apartment .Pillows were horrible flat, flat, FLAT. Location was a plus close to stores and restaurant.

Very nice place to stay in Venice
We stayed here 10 nights and were comfortable, safe and clean every night. There is plenty of space for 2 people espcially with the way the apartment is laid out. Whoever finished these rooms did a great job. There are nice new windows, appliances, and furniture as well as craftsman carpentry throughout. Everything you need for cooking is there and in good shape-plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. When we asked for a new spatchela the owner sent us 2. The american style coffee maker was very welcome and a very nice one too. We brought our own Starbucks ground coffee though, as we are not fans of what is available in Italy. We really enjoyed breakfast with the coffee we usually have and at the price we are used to at that. The dishwashere was very much appreciated and in general worked well. Most of our meals were prepared and eaten in as we are do not appreciate the tourist-Italian food available at most reataurants. Also we can control nutrition if we do it ourself. We also took advantage of the clothes washer albeit the drying was done inside on a nice clothes drying rack. The location was espcially nice, we thought. It is on a very quiet street half way between San Marco and the Rialto bridge. Another bonus is it is a 2 min walk to a nice Coop grocery. We go to venice every year and will certainly keep this property near if not on the top of our list of rentals.

Clean, cozy, comfortable
This apartment in Venice was fantastic. We loved how spacious it is, how comfortable it felt, and how quiet it was inside. The heat worked great, the bath and shower were very nice, the bed extremely comfortable, and the amount of space ample. The kitchen was great for cooking, and the couch was a nice place to relax. We also appreciated the welcome service that met us at the dock and walked us to the apartment. It is up some stairs, so keep this in mind, but I would recommend this place to anyone fit enough to get up them. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Venice in the future.

Fabulous location, nice apartment
The check in process was smooth-we met the rep at the Rialto water taxi stop and she took us on the 5 minute walk to get to the apartment. Be aware that the apartment is about 4 stories up (no elevator), so definitely not for the faint of heart or those with lots of luggage. The location was very central to the San Marco square attractions, with plenty of shopping and restaurants on the streets right below the apartment. The photos of the apartment are accurate. It was perfect for my husband and I and we'd recommend the location.
