Lovely place to stay the hosts were so helpful and went the extra mile and walked us to the taxi pick up point when we left for the airport

The owners of the hotel are gracious, patient with kids, and helpful in recommending places to eat nearby. The double shower in our room was amazing too.

Lovely period accommodation (it really gets you in the mood for historical Venice), in a great area that also adds to the whole romance of visiting Venice. The staff were excellent and friendly too

Hotel claims to be very up to date very private but we didn’t see this in our stay our room was dated bed was uncomfortable bathroom was wet all the time the water spills everywhere, and there’s no air conditioning only heater. Service is good helpful but just not what is portrayed in the pics.

The room has its style. Can hear the sounds from the street and the room upstairs, which didn't bother me though. The staffs at the reception are very friendly and helpful.

Great location if you’re trying to stay a bit further away from the main hustle and bustle (St. Marks Square area). But, the walk to the main areas are definitely doable. Super friendly and accommodating staff as well. And, there’s air conditioning! Definitely recommend.

Nice area, quite friendly and helpful staff. TV did not work due to a storm (and was never fixed during our stay). Breakfast was ok. The shower was nice, but the bathroom was impractical.

Good location. Hosts were good. WiFi bad to non-existent. They did try to fix it though. First world problems..Room comfortable and unique. Overall an enjoyable stay. Venice. No other city like it. Probably a good thing...

Excellent little jewel in a quiet suburb of Venice. It is a 25 minute walk to the tourist area and Piazza San Marco or you can catch the Vaporetto which is very nearby. It is a nice escape from the hordes of tourists that overrun Venice. The room is a solid 3-4 star, not overly luxurious but nice enough. The commercial soap dispensers in the bathroom were an interesting touch :-). The wifi and tv were down and the owner explained there was an area outage. This was no big deal as if you’re in Venice, you should be out walking and exploring. All in all, I recommend the Avogaria if you want comfortable lodging in close proximity to the cruise terminal and enjoy strolling. The staff are wonderful.

The room was beautiful... a visual delight with good quality beds.... set up as a twin single ... each bed was small with very little room between. As we booked through Expedia and not the hotel directly we did not have access to all amenities... a first for me.

Perfect quiet location; the suite with private garden is very small and could be a bit cleaner in terms of dust on shelfs and chandeliers. The 'garden' has not been swept once during our stay. The hotel is a gem that needs just some renovation here and there to get back to where it was in the beginning - a small shining star in Venice.

Avogaria was in a quiet location, yet close enough to walk to places of interest. The staff was extremely professional, patient, and kind. The B&B creatively combines the beautiful old building with modern amenities. Breakfast provided a good variety of choices to start the day, with coffee choices of American coffee, cappucino, espresso, etc. Overall, this is a very comfortable, inviting location that I would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in an area suited for our planned activities. Tea making facilities with a garden to lounge in made for a great welcome. Comfortable bed with air conditioning to keep us cool. Good standard of continental breakfast included.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is cosy, with only five rooms, and feels like being at home. Very different from large, impersonal corporate hotels. Our room was light and spacious as well as having a small private garden. We really enjoyed our stay and would defiantly recommend it.

Lovely hotel, clean, friendly staff, great location within walking distance to St Mark's square giving you a look at so many wonderful places in Venice/Gondolas etc. We would recommend Avogaria Locanda to anyone looking for accommodation close to where the cruise lines depart from. We loved it !
