We would never stay here again! Sunday morning around 1:30 am, a loud alarm went off inside our room saying there was an emergency in the building and to make our exit using the closest stairwell. Seems easy except that we were on the 23rd floor with two sleeping toddlers. We tried calling the front desk several times to get info, and after no answer, we went up there (25th floor) to find the door locked and lights out. We made our way down all 25 floors and found absolutely no one in charge in the ground level lobby. Eventually the fire department came and then someone without a name tag told us she worked there and it was a false alarm due to a bad breaker. We also heard staff saying this “hadn’t happened since March.”
The hotel had a chance to make this right, agreeing to take care of some of our charges, including the $84 parking fee. Well- we have been charged for that fee even after getting a printed receipt and ensuring we wouldn’t be charged. The front desk staff claims they can’t do anything, and the GM has not returned our call, so we will dispute the charge.
Our TV never worked which was great for a weekend with two toddlers. They did give us a choice of one free drink or free WiFi for that. Apparently it’s a common issue with their cable company- at least that’s what we were told.
I’ve never left a bad review for a hotel but the service here is sub par.

Room did not cool down with AC turned down to 68

Rude counter staff, dirty room, tv’s broken, no internet, pool was OOO… picture probably 75+ people trying to get breakfast and only one gentlemen on the floor to buss. Food was okay, but felt terrible for the worker and unfortunately meant the dining area was disgustingly filthy. Would not return.

The stay was amazing, was right in the center of Pittsburgh walkable distance to everything in the city. The room had great city views, the breakfast was amazing. The hotel had happy hour every night with free snacks and drinks.

My reservation was all
Messed up I reserved 2 rooms initially 2 adjoining queen rooms and after I added a third room a king room. Upon check in there was only 2 rooms one of each not on the same floor. My room being the birthday guy was the smallest room ever . Not the best stay especially since we wanted to be together. I was 4 floors below them.

The room was clean and service was good.
My only complaint was that items like cereal, milk and fruit were not being refilled for breakfast. And there was no water. But for a fresh and hot breakfast that was included with our stay, it was pretty good.

The staff and service were absolutely wonderful. Their professionalism is beyond expectations. The room was clean and fresh. Our refrigerator was not working when we arrived. Front desk contacted maintenance and it was replaced within an hour. The view was absolutely stunning. Will recommend to others and will return.

Awesome hotel, had to ask for room replenish, only got towels & toilet paper. Other things I specifically requested were not replenished.

Very clean, very safe, and had a great view of the city. Easy to find, valet parking was great. There was a welcome gathering when we checked in with snacks and drinks. All staff were friendly and received a text post check-in to make sure everything was good. We were a 10-ish minute walk from PPG Arena, where we were seeing a concert.

Exceptional experience from start to finish! Deepest gratitude to the outstanding staff in the lobby who took great care in providing world class hospitality. We enjoyed our room thoroughly and felt it was a solid value for the price. The area was central and integral to our travel needs. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The Valet parking staff was very rude and felt like we were a waste of their time. The front desk was not in the front. It was at the 25th floor and the desk person spoke to me like i was incompetent.

While staying for a night , I encountered a bedbug on the headboard of my bed. Staff did accommodate with a new room but when bought to the attention of the attendant at the desk at 3am her reply was “ok , what do you want to leave?” So because your facility has bedbugs I am supposed to be kicked out in the middle of the night?

I loved this hotel. The property is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was solid, but nothing special. The only downside is there isn't free parking.

Make sure you get a receipt for your stay. Apparently I will be having a credit card issue. They charged around 350 dollars for whatever after i had told them I paid on expedia. Two night of valet should only cost 84 dollars. BEWARE.

Was never told when we checked in that they had no hot water a didn’t know how long they be with out so a four nite stay no shower no hot water . Didn’t offer us a refund to go else where or a discount. Felt bad for front desk workers they took the complaints from everyone never a manager around when you would go down . They should also tell you not to leave your car because one the parking attendant did nothing but yell at you if you didn’t check in with him first to go to the 25th floor to check in. Breakfast was ok however omelets take about 15 min so the line was long. Bar tender at nightly reception was very friendly a social . However motel was in a good location to walk pretty much every where.

The hotel room looks nice some wear and tear on chairs. However the phone did not work in room. My husband had to bang the remote on table for it to work and there was no hot water 4 phone calls to speak to manager have gone unanswered and front desk just gives you run around

The room size and feel was perfect. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The little extra really stood out, as we were part of a large wedding and people who didn't stay in this hotel were very jealous at all the perks that came with a room, ie happy hour, breakfast etc. Made the entire trip perfect.

We love staying at The Embassy Suites, but probably won't return to this particular hotel.
1. Parking was expensive (valet is $38/day and self-parking is $28/day).
2. Maintence worker walk into my room without knocking. I told him that he should have knocked, and his response was, "Well, housekeeping was just in here and told me there was an issue with the plumbing." I reiterated that he should have still knocked!
3. The shower oressure was HORRIBLE. We finally left the hotel and found a more suitable stay, after being here for four nights.

I have stayed at most downtown hotels. The bathroom set up is odd. No real place to hang towels by the shower.
In room coffee supplies were hit or miss. Great omelet bar included. Beds were comfy and room was very quiet. I would stay here again.

Our stay was very good. The Hotel was great. Very interesting building, i believe in was an old bank / office building remodeling. The elevators were neat. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable.
Thank you hotels.com and Embassy Suites.

We are super happy we chose to stay here for our first visit to Pittsburgh. The location is great and in close proximity to everything. The receptionist Drew was great too - thanks for the help! Breakfast was abundant too.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. We arrived late due to traveling and purposely selected this hotel due to its good reputation and late-night food and drink options at the bar. Upon arrival the directions for the valet service were extremely confusing. Once we arrived on the 25th floor to check in, we were disappointed to see the bar area which was dark and not very approachable or inviting, and the restaurant advertised on the website was no longer operational. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke and the front desk staff was not very inviting. There was clearly a large crowd at the bar of intoxicated patrons, one of whom approached us in the elevator in a confrontational manner. There appeared to be no security around and overall we felt unsafe being there. We will not be returning nor recommending this hotel to friends.
