Check-in fast and easy. Room available before check-in time. Room clean. Bathroom big and roomy and shower was nice and hot. Nice bed and bedding, but mattress very uncomfortable. Kerig coffee machine conveniently available with cream and sugar, but no coffee. đ Would highly recommend to bring your own drinks as they were all priced at $5.00 a piece in the Lobby including a bottle of water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice dining room and breakfast had a lot to choose from including hot and cold items.

Wonderful little town, good food, beautiful hotel and with Hotels.com great price.

The morning receptionist was the friendly and so helpful. The evening receptionist was a different store. Letâs just say she didnât want to be bother.

Wonderful stay. Friendly staff. Within walking distance.

The check-in process was easy once I provided the Hotels.com reservation number to the lady at the front desk. The room that I booked online was not available according to the desk clerk. Instead of a king bed we had two double beds. If you want to guarantee the rate from hotels.com, pay them on their site/app. If you wait to pay at the property and they make changes to your room, they donât agree to the original pricing. It was still a discounted from the average stay rate, but about $35 more than âquotedâ. It is worth the $13/day resort fee to have a full hot breakfast with fresh made grits, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties, in addition to other continental breakfast items like yogurt, cold, cereal, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, muffins, & pastries.

Took 45 minutes to check in. Room was not vacuumed prior to renting. Loud after 10 pm. Children allowed to swim and wade in fountain.

We came in for a baseball tournament. When we arrived on Friday we had to wait TWO hours in line with 4 kids. The poor employee at the front desk was new, then they had a call in and then they said the manager was at the hospital. I understand the situation was not ideal and I really can't blame the overwhelmed woman at the front desk. It just really didn't start off our weekend right standing from 5:30-7:30 with small kids. I have stayed here mutliple times before and never had this issue.

Check-in was a mess. We waited in line for two hours (because they were short-staffed and there was a large group ahead of us whose rooms were messed up in some way.) I felt bad for the one staff member who was trying to do everythingâŚ

We enjoyed our stay! Staff very courteous and attentive. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast hot and good. Especially the hot Hawaiian roll cinnamon dish.

Had a wonderful stay, nice and close to downtown and enjoyed being able to walk to almost all locations.

Great stay. Wonderful welcoming staff. Great breakfast. However, it was hard to sleep, due to the a/c running loud with hard knocking sounds. Forgot to alert front desk about it, before checking out. Overall great area, great hotel overall. We wil be back.

Housekeeping is NOT acceptable. More lint and dust under desk and furniture. Bathroom is not cleaned as should be. Stay for three day in rm 328. Work out rm has NO drinking water, would have changed but all containers were empty. NO tv remote, now tell me there was Housekeeping in 3 days.

The place was nasty! The floor was so dirty and the baton was dirty too! Found hair in the toilet. It was so disgusting! The room has a door that connects to another bedroom and it was not even closing at all! We called the front desk and they told us that it was just I'm an older lady in the other room. Really? We requested an extra pillow and took forever! We had to call twice for the pillow.

Great property in a great location for shopping and dining. The hotel is in need of maintenance and updates. Many light bulbs were out, very noisy HVAC units in rooms (I had to transfer to another room due to a noisy outside AC unit - parts on order).
Have stayed in this hotel many times over the years and the overall experience has deteriorated with each stay.
The staff could use some customer service training, though there are several excellent employees.

Nice property but has gone downhill. 3 rooms for our group. Two others had to change rooms due to no hot water and the toilet not working. Check in process was way too long as Hotels/Expedia reservations need to be completely manually re-entered. 5-7 minutes per person. No soap in my bathroom and after one night they took my used towels, didn't refill the soap and left me with no new towels. Plus, staff didn't seem to care. But it is a great location and could be a great place to stay. I have stayed at this property 4 times over the years.

Unfortunately no warm water during my stay, the walls were very thin and I could hear all the neighbors. Hotel is in great location.

We have stayed there several times. Love the location. Itâs a lovely hotel. Staff are helpful. Itâs my go-to place to stay in Natchitoches.

We never moved our car in 2 days. The hotel was close enough for us to walk wherever we wanted to go. Great location. The staff was all very friendly. My only complaint is that the walls and floors are pretty thin. You can walk normally and it sounds like youâre stomping. Our upstairs neighbors were pretty loud. The bar downstairs was nice. Breakfast was okay. Breakfast attendants were very friendly! All in all Iâd stay again.

This is my second stay at Chateau St. Denis. The hotel was quiet, and both front desk staffers were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the server was pleasant. Although the room was comfortable and well stocked with towels, I think the floor in the room as well as the bathroom had visible stains that could be remedied with mopping. Further, my guests socks immediately became dirty when she walked on the bedroom floor. That's not good. (I read similar comments from other reviewers noting the need for better cleaning of the room floors as well.) Would I stay again? Yes, as better mopping of floors is easily addressed by attentive staffers.

I reallĂ˝ loved that it was in the historical part of town.
Very comfortable bed.

This property is close to 1st street.
The parking is very limited behind the hotel. You have to park across and down the street from which is 5 minute or less walk. The check in time was long there was a group of students with one check in person. We had to wait about 20 minutes due to this. The room was clean and beds comfy. The breakfast was ok, they serve guests. I will probably stay here again as itâs close to where I need to be when visiting.

I didnât get a chance to stay here due to the hotel informing me they were booked 8 hours later. They moved my reservation to the Comfort Inn & Suites. They were Great !

I have been here before and been very pleased. A year later, things seem to be slipping.
This is a newer property that is in an ideal location but is not being managed or cleaned well since my last visit a year ago.
First of all they overbooked the king junior suites apparently and gave me a room with 2 beds... for a date night. How disappointing.
Secondly, after that disappointment, the room they put me in had mold spots and dust all over the A/C unit. They moved me to another room that still had some mold and dust but was better. I just gave up at this point.
If you want good reviews Chateau St. Denis, give the customers the room type they booked and get the cleaners to do a better job on the rooms. Just saying...

The property was awesome, great location only thing we didnât like was the bed, it was horrible and needed a new mattress.

The building was beautiful and the location couldn't have been better to walk downtown.
Check in/out was a breeze and the staff were very nice.
Breakfast was great as well, but it was not included, I was charged at check-in.
The room (King Deluxe) was very spacious. The bed wasn't like home, but that's ok.
I had read reviews about cleanliness online, but I had called ahead, so thought to try it. I was very mindful of this. I immediately noticed an empty water bottle under a nightstand, and the top of the bedframe/lampshades were very dusty. I made sure to wear socks, as the grout in the bathroom was dirty, and my socks were filthy from it. There were also places in the corners of the bathroom where no care had been given in a while.
All in all, the trip itself was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, with a lot of charm and could easily be a 5 star hotel, with a bit more pride of those working there.

Overall - hotel is cute and in vert good condition. Itâs a very nice place to stay. Parking is easy. Breakfast is disappointing. Donât pay for if you can avoid. Sheets and blankets should be better for caliber of stay that they want to be.

Love this hotel! Nice rooms, good breakfast, and close to the action!

room only got cleaned before we arrived and we had to call for clean towels and servicing which never happened.

The location was perfect in proximity to downtown and the fireworks. If you are going during busy season bring all your snacks, drinks and alchohol, because parking is limited and you will loose your spot if you goto the store. In the bar the beers are 7 and wine is 8. The refreshment stand had Tony's pizza and chips for 5.00 each. Water presser was bad in shower but we had hot water, refrigerator in room was not very cool, no microwave in 409- so we had to go back downstairs to make the pizza. The walls are thin, you hear everything. After looking at the breakfast selections, i wasnt paying 12.00 for it.
I will stay there again, but next time i will be prepared..

Natchitoches is a beautiful old town. The hotel fits into the design of the French culture. Located within walking distance of what we needed to do. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

The room was spacious (you could move around without feeling you were bumping into the furniture).

Beautiful clean hotel walking distance from historic downtown.

Close to riverfront.
No coffee til 7am.
6.0
Pros: The location is convenient to the Riverwalk area, breakfast was good, staff were nice, lobby area was good for sitting and visiting
Cons: Keurig cups with no Keurig machine in our room and when asked about this, we were told some rooms donât a have Keurig, shower was dirty when we arrived, but did clean when we notified the desk. need a blanket on the bed, not sure what âhistoric view meansâ.. we overlooked an ally, lobby restroom has no soap to wash your hands the whole weekend even after it was cleaned.
