I really love this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had no trouble checking in or out. The breakfast was good. The housekeeper was polite and the place was immaculate with the cleaning. I will be staying again in the future.

Kids like the pancake maker and pool table TV area.
I like the water filter station, work out room and work station cubbies. The rooms are exactly what we need. No more, no less.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times now, seems like it's starting to get a little beat up. Great lobby hangout area and breakfast, I just think the rooms could use a deep clean and it might be time for new pillows/sheets/mattresses. Otherwise you can stay at basically the same hotel across the street that is new for the same price.

While our check-in was fantastic the rest of the stay was mediocre at best.
Not real sure how the heater was supposed to work as the fan rarely turned off and constantly blew cool air. They moved us to a different room, but the heater had the same problem. If the temperature was raised to 74* or 75* it would blow warm air for a while, then back to the cool air.
After our first nights stay we came back to the room to find that housekeeping hadn't been in to at least empty trash and leave fresh towels. Went to the front desk to get some and was told they only come every 4th day to service the room. They made a note to have housekeeping come the next day.
We had 2 small dogs with us and had to acknowledge the "rules". One of them was to have a door hanger on the door at all times making housekeeping aware there were pets in the room. The "rules" said housekeeping wouldn't come in unless we were there and the dogs were on leashes. The "rule" seemed confusing and when the desk clerk was asked about it she even said it was confusing.
Finally, Tru by Hilton bills themselves as a minimalist property. Only 1 uncomfortable chair in the room. Needed an ink pen, but they don't provide pens. No drawers in the event you wanted to unpack luggage. For us it didn't matter, but they don't even have coffee makers in the rooms. Other than the price I felt our room was kind of like a Motel 6 room from 40 years ago.

I have stayed here 3 times now with my dog while passing through on a long trip to family. The staff is wonderful, place is very clean, and I love the availability of hot coffee and tea in the lobby. There is also a big yard in which to walk the dog. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!

My husband and I were in town to see a comedy show, and I definitely didn't regret booking with Tru. The facilities are very clean all-around, you get beautifully simple accommodations with modern tech, a personalized "welcome" on the TV on arrival, and the staff were very kind.
Only complaints would be that there were flies somehow getting in (we killed 2 in the 1 night stay), and the breakfast items don't seem closely monitered for use-by dates or freshness. Otherwise, it was a perfectly pleasant stay! The bartender at B-dubs even let us non-locals know we picked a great hotel because the other side of the nearby bridge is a sketchy area. So, thank you, Elkhart for being so hospitable! Would book again!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating during my stay. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming upon arrival. I didn’t eat the free breakfast offered but they did offer a nice variety of selections from 6-9am plus they have food/snack area where you can purchase items. I would definitely recommend.

Hotel was clean and quiet. We had an issue with the inside door lock locking us out of the room when we left the room. The door closing must have jarred the lock closed. We went to the young lady (I'm sorry that I can't remember her name) that checked us in. She called her manager for advice on how to handle our issue which she did very quickly. She was very friendly and helpful and we appreciate her.

Hotel was ok for the price. Hotel staff was ok except for one person. One front desk person was rude, not to us directly but to the people in front of me checking and to other guests. Also, two vehicles were broken into, on two different days. The first one we reported to the “rude front desk lady” but of course she was rude a said oh well there nothing we can do. We said you should notify the people and call the police. That didn’t happen, until I found the owner myself.

Overall a nice motel. A little small but OK. The bed was very uncomfortable. I do have a bad back. We stayed for three nights, and they did not sweep the floors. For the price a decent motel.

Great new concept hotel. This was our 10 th hotel in thirteen days and far superior to all the others. Great beds/bedding, quiet, great breakfast, clean and fresh. Easy access to tollway and safe area. I will seek out this brand in the future.

This was a clean and comfortable hotel. Everything was up to par & we'll use Tru hotels again. My grandson loved the fact there were games in the lobby since we had one rainy day.

the room was clean and met our needs. We were told at check in that breakfast was from 6 am to 9 am, however, when we arrived to get breakfast at 6:45 am before a sporting event, we were told we could not have any of the food that was already set out until 7 a.m.. It was inconvenient to have to go and find food for my hungry athletes at 6:50 am.

Clean and conveniently located next to multiple hotels and restaurants. The only downside was it felt like I was being chased out in the morning. Housecleaning was knocking on everybody's doors at 9. Breakfast was basically completely closed down at that time.

I really liked the openness of the lobby floorpan. The room had some nice features with the pegs on the wall to hang jackets, a soft nightlight in the bathroom and glass shower.

Not our first time at this particular hotel and won’t be the last. One of the cleanest places we’ve stayed. Nice breakfast included. The lobby is our favorite as it had lots of cool seating, a pool table and beer!

The room was clean and comfortable. There was very little insulation from the noise in the hallway. The people talking loudly in the hallway after midnight sounded like they were in our room.

Check-in clerk never said anything but to ask for our name. Never gave room number, just wrote it in the envelope with room keys. Hotel seemed clean in general. Too much writing everywhere which is the theme of the hotel. Not a relaxing environment. More of a busy traveler concept. Color was overwhelming. (Just not our taste.) Beds were comfortable, bath clean and shower was working ok. Big storm came thru, power and water out until after we lefr, so we didnt get breakfast, coffee or a shower. Also couldn’t flush or wash hands. Worse than tent camping. It became very hot and humid since we had no AC overnight. Had it been free of these issues, we probably still would not use this chain again. We also do not like seeing a lack of recycling options in rooms or the hotel.

Very comfortable bed and super soft sheets. Good continental breakfast and my daughter enjoyed the game area in the lobby. Right off the freeway made it ideal for getting a good nights rest before hitting the road again.

Excellent check in. Friendly and efficient. I asked for and got two bottles of water. Clean room. Bed was slightly lumpy, but ac worked and pillows were perfect.

Stay was ok. Front desk staff was super friendly upon check-in. However, the room didn’t seem very clean. The hard floors in the room felt sticky, the bathroom was not clean. The alarm in the room next to us went off for a really long time every morning around 5-6am, and you can hear everything. There was also no hot breakfast when we went down during the breakfast hours. We booked a hotel specifically with breakfast so we could eat in the morning, so that was disappointing. The lobby area was more comfortable than the room so we enjoyed that. It wasn’t terrible if for a quick trip and to just sleep, but wouldn’t be my first hotel pick next time I’m in the area.
