We stayed at this lovely old hotel in a beautiful part of medieval Bamberg and had two double rooms booked. Oddly, one room had air‑conditioning while the other did not. Given the very warm weather, room 3 was quite uncomfortable with only a floor fan provided.
Another small but surprising inconvenience was the absence of a kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. At the rates being charged, a simple kettle would make a meaningful difference to guest comfort.
These may seem like small details, but they do matter, and for that reason I’m giving a lower rating.
