The apartment is right in the heart of the old town, close to the main gate and close to the square with lots of restaurant options. The hosts were super nice. The check in and check out was super smooth.

if you are looking for a place to act as a base for exploring Lecce, look no further! It is a very short walk to the city center (restaurants, the Basilica, shops, etc.). Our host greeted us on arrival. and made sure we had all the necessary information both about the apartment and its environs; his wife also sent us a message with even more useful info... . A bathroom both upstairs and downstairs, a small kitchenette, and a very comfy bed made our stay quite comfortable. A big plus: the train station is within walking distance; on arrival in Lecce, we hired a cab to take us and our luggage from the station to the apartment, but when we left we walked it with our luggage - no problem, a simple15 min. stroll (and we're in our 70's/80's!)...
