Loved our two night stay at Haus Salzburgblick. A lovely chalet with a lawn and grape vines and a small play area. The view from our room was absolutely wonderful. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the town of Salzburg and the mountains. The breakfast was excellent with local delicacies. Our host Michaela was wonderful, friendly and made us feel totally comfortable and she also got us a guest mobility pass which gave us free bus services to the city. We could also travel right up to Bad Ischl enroute to our next destination with this pass.
The location was convenient, a short walk to the bus station and frequent bus services to the city center. The walk itself added to our experience of this beautiful neighbourhood as we had to pass by a small stream, a great play ground for children where my son enjoyed spending time enroute to the city. Overall we had a memorable stay!

Incredible mountain views right in front of the property—fresh and crisp in the morning, lovely in the afternoon, and stunning at sunset. The host, Michaela, was wonderfully helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
While it’s a bit outside the main attractions, the city is small and public transit is frequent and essentially free, so getting around was never an issue. We actually enjoyed the 6–10 minute walk to the bus stop—it was a great chance to take in the mountain views from different angles throughout the day.

The cleanliness of the room, sheets and towels.
The quick response of the owner sending the Salzburg mobility link upon my request.
I would expect a much better breakfast such as home baked cakes and fresh bread. Although breakfast was included, we skipped the last 2 breakfasts due to its lack of quality.
Besides, breakfast time during week days was from 07:30 to 09:00.
The bed was not comfortable nor the pillows.
The room was too hot on hot days - no air condition nor a fan.
The owner did not advise me that tourists (who stay at Salzburg overnight), have the right to get a Mobility Card which gives access to free public transportation around the city. It is up to the hotel to send a link to their guests. I had to find it out myself.
Before my departure to Austria, I sent the hotel a msg asking if we could have a swim on the lakes nearby and the answer I got from the hotel was that "upon my arrival, I'd have a table full of information about Salzburg"...
If you have time for a swim, please bring your swimming suit because there are beautiful lakes where you can have amazing lake swims.
If you're travelling with a trolley, the access to the hotel is not nice because you have to walk 10 min along a path with gravel. The other access to the hotel is by a road with no pedestrian walkway, which can be dangerous if you're arriving in the evening.
Check out time is up to 10:00, quite early.
