The room and facility were amazing. Checkout time on the door was incorrect though and we found that out the unpleasant way. Room service started knocking on and opening the door at 9am. This continued until 11:15 three different times when a manager came up and asked if we were leaving and we told them that we had till noon per the plaque on the door. They then went on to tell us it was 11am checkout time and that they had not updated the door plaque. It was on them. Honestly would have been a perfect stay if it was not for that situation.

It was a great stay. Love how kind the staff is.

Old, rundown, noisy and no free water!!!
How can you charge $5.50 US for a bottle of water???
Stay elsewhere for a better nights sleep

I've stayed here every time I go to D.C. in the past 12 years. The hotel is wonderful with clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice design. Easy to control room temperature to your liking. Coffee/tea/hot choc, etc available 24/7 for free. Great location near the Capitol and Union Station, since I take the train into D.C. from CT. It's an easy one block walk to hotel. Three blocks to the National Mall/Museums. The staff is wonderful and goes above and beyond to make your stay a treat! Attentive and helpful. The restaurant on site, The Dubliner Irish Pub, has nice menu selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Moderate cost (not bad for DC).The area is very safe, especially being so close to the Capitol. The only complaint would be that several affordable food establishments in the area of the hotel (West Wing Cafe & Corner bakery) have been pushed out due to their higher rents. (The West Wing Cafe opened in another area, too far to walk from hotel.) Though you can walk up to the train station for some quick meals if you like. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I visit.

So my stay here was pleasent the front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. So upon checking out I noticed that my card was charged and extra almost $600. I called to alert them of the problem. She said it was an error on their end but my money wouldn’t be back on my account for 5-7 days. Umm excuse me this is not $50 it’s almost $600 that yall took out of my account that was no fault of mine and now I have to wait 5-7 business days for MY MONEY back? So I would use a prepaid card with the amount of the room on it so they can’t get more than what they’re supposed to if you’re gonna book here

Incredibly kind staff, great location, and everything was generally clean. The 24-hr coffee station is also a plus. Unfortunately, my room had a very strong smell of sweat and cologne, which detracted from the experiences, as did the very worn/sagging mattress.

We came into Union Station and this hotel is an easy walk from the train. Very convenient location. Close to the Capital and the mall area. Good service. Clean rooms. I would definitely stay again.

A wonderful hotel in a good location! Restaurant on site was a great option for breakfast as needed, but also near other restaurants. The rooms were great for our family and the connecting rooms were perfect!

We stayed 3 nights. Very close to Union Station, like a 3 minute walk which was very nice. The Dubliner restaurant was very good too. We ate there 4 times. Their body wash shampoo and conditioner were in containers that made it hard to get them out. We ended up at Walgreens buying those items.

A wonderful upgrade to a spacious suite. The in-house Dubliner restaurant was excellent. And very convenient to Union Station.

Great location near Capitol and Union Station. Super friendly and accommodating staff! Dubliner pub and restaurant connected to hotel was a bonus! Also, 24 hour tea and coffee bar was a nice perk. Hotel is older but in good condition. I would stay again! I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness and condition because there was some staining on the furniture in our room, but every thing was clean.

This was an excellent hotel for its location and price point. The staff were beyond kind! My only “complaint” (which, in reality, is just something to be aware of when booking) is that in my experience, the walls/floors must be not insulated well as I could hear conversations and waking in others rooms very easily. One room around me were awake and talking from 10pm - 4am (perhaps for work). The next room over had a baby and was very loud starting at 7am. So, needless to say, rest didn’t come easy. That said, the hotel does provide ear plugs in your room — they just didn’t work for me. And I didn’t really hear any traffic from outside — all from inside the hotel. Just an FYI for any light sleepers or those that require absolute silence. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay! Also loved I literally just went to the lobby, through a door and was inside an Irish pub. Super convenient and entertaining. Great location for DC bus systems, Union station and museums!

The Staff was amazing, efficient and very professional!! I will be staying there again when I come in town.

The hotel esthetic and decor was nice. They have good amenities, free coffee and tea all day, and breakfast was included, although I didn't take advantage of breakfast. The only issue I had with this hotel was the size of the room. Way too small. Hardly any space to get dressed. Hopefully not all of the rooms are that small.

The Phoenix Park Hotel is conveniently located. The staff was exceedingly kind and made our trip comfortable.

Nicely kept, nice room, and exceptionally helpful staff. Couldn't ask for a better location for what I needed. Near public transportation, Capitol Hill, and all of the amenities.
I'll choose Phoenix Park again

Hotel was very clean, everyone was friendly. My only complaint was not being aware of the $100 hold. There are people that live on a strict budget so it should definitely be made known when making reservations

The hotel has a great location near train, metro, museums & US Capitol. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The 24/7 coffee bar was essential & easy to use.

The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the welcome package / goodie bag and the free drink coupons for the restaurant. The fee for parking was a bit much and the elevators are extremely small, but overall, everything was great. I loved the location and the historic feel of the building.

Very conveniently located ext to Union Station and the Capitol. Friendly and attentive service, nice spacious room. Fun bar/restaurant with live Irish music on the ground floor. I would go back. Very reasonably priced.

I’m sorry I didn’t get their names but the two men on duty when I checked in could not have been more accommodating!! They went above and beyond in their customer service. This is one of the many reasons I stay at this hotel when in Washington. Location, cleanliness, ease of services are some of the reasons to stay here!

It’s just a few minute’s walk from Union Station and the Metro, and less than ten minute walk from the Capitol. It’s small boutique-like hotel, an older building well-maintained and clean. My room was not large, but also not cramped. There’s a good Irish pub on the first floor with great atmosphere and good food very reasonably priced. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Great location. Charming hotel. Good price. But I could not get the temperature down in the room. It was 75 degrees no matter what I did. I arrived late and had to be up at 4a so I didn't want to deal with the Front Desk or Engineering...bummer

this hotel was incredible. The staff could not have been nicer, and the place was extremely clean. Bonus points for having a restaurant and bar on the location as well. Very conveniently located near Union Station, and all of the DC exhibits.

This was my second time staying at this property and you cannot beat the location! The Capitol and most of the best sightseeing spots are well within walking or biking distance. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. 24hr hot cocoa/coffee bar was a hit with my daughter. The Dubliner restaurant/pub downstairs was great for breakfast each morning. 100% will stay again next time we are in DC.

Hotel has a nice ambiance. I enjoyed my short stay. The only thing that bothered me was the shampoo and conditioner bottle. I had a had time squeezing the product out.
