The blankets and sheets didn't look like they were washed for new guests.. dirty bathrooms need to be soaked in bleach.

Overall we've had better, but we've also had worse. I would consider this hotel again if my preferred is booked out like it was this time around.
It's definitely a solid "middle of the road" hotel.
Pros:
I want to say my favorite part of this stay was the security of the hotel rooms themselves. Instead of using those swipe cards, which always seem to fail at least once, they used a tag-in system. I'm a tech nerd so this was a pleasant surprise and (bonus!) they worked.
The bed was comfortable enough but I would recommend bringing your own pillow or requesting an extra if you're used to fluffy as their pillows are thin.
The bathroom worked fine, and the shower had amazing water pressure so you actually feel clean at the end of the day.
24hr lobby was nice as we flew red eyes both in and out.
Our visit was focused on family and friends so we really only needed a place to get ready and rest, and this hotel met that.
Cons:
There was some sort of gunk smeared on the walls in the resting and sink area, not sure if it was left over cleaning solution or what but it certainly looked like snot.
The TV didn't work.
Cleaning service only came in once to tidy up and swap our used towels for fresh ones, typically a pro for me, but it was on the very last night we were staying. While we appreciated the fresh towels, I couldn't help but wonder why bother at that point?
We weren't given more toilet paper. Two people on 1-1/2 roll? Impossible, we bought ourselves extra.

The property did not have my booking. There was no direct way to contact Travelocity. Eventually I found a way to speak to an agent. Almost an hout later this was resolved and I was able to check in

This place is dirty unsanitary stains everywhere stench smell ....
If your a drunk crack head or dont like to shower this is a perfect place for you.
Even the coffee pot was nasty the tv didn't work even the remote control had body fluids on it.
That how nasty this place is.

We have to go to an oncologist every 6 months. We have always stayed at the red roof in Parsippany as the Dr is in mountain lakes. We travel with our small dog and every time our stay was very nice. This time however, there was noise and people talking etc at all hours. Our dog heard this and his job is to bark and protect us. Consequently, we got no sleep and had a 100 mile journey ahead of us.

Stayed here on a whim. Its cheap for a reason. Room wasnt very clean, hairs on towels, empty coffee bag, shower was nasty as well. Would not recommend unless you have no other option.

My room smelled like cat pis, my bathroom smelled gross. Would leave and comeback to dark urine in the toilet that was not mine.

They didn’t have an iron or a lock on the door, thought it automatically locks, not being able to manually lock it from inside the room was not a good thing.

The room smelled, there were hookers turning tricks in the room next door to me. The coffee pack was open instead of a new one I got the leftover pack and the tub had hair in it I was not happy with room.

i took pictures but don't want to take the time to upload. stayed in room 227. wall by iron disgusting, inner door in bathroom disgusting overall the room did its trick. we slept and left. probably won't stay at this one again.

I accidentally booked a smoking room, and when I called the front desk to change it nobody ever answered the phone. I called hotels to try and fix it, but they've replaced human beings with a chat bot that does nothing for you. I am deleting my hotels account.

This location was very convenient to grocery stores, shopping, etc. My favorite thing about this Red Roof Inn was how comfortable the beds were--I slept like a log. The place had some stains (rust?) on the walls and bathroom; but everything worked fine, it was quiet, the microwave and minifridge were great, and the in-room coffee and ironing were nice too. Thank you for a great stay at a great price!

First the room was filthy and was obvious the sheets on one of the beds hadn’t been washed because of the yellowish stains all over it. Hair’s everywhere, funny smell . No heat functioning ! It was just awful .. stains in the toilet . Gross ! Get a refund and leave !

The only bath mat in room 148 had a big black dirty spot on top when I arrived. I had to scrape a sticky object off the tub floor and the toilet was very brown inside. In the other room in the other building room 110, there were hairs on the sheets when my son got there. The AC units in both room were falling apart and ineffective. Room 148 was super hot and uncomfortable. When my son sought recourse at the office, there was a wait for personnel and other people in line with similar complaints. When the person arrived, he had no satisfactory answers and we decided to check out a day early which was a big inconvenience as it was my mother’s 94th birthday weekend and an extra move was awful. All they said was go to Expedia for the refund. They did not even offer to reclamation the rooms or provide clean linens. Come on! I wasn’t expecting luxury, just a decent , clean place to stay.

The worst we ever stayed at! One of the beds ad blood like stains in it. The other one ad knife marks in the mattress… The room smelled tobacco and humidity. The A/C was soooo dirty. There was cockroaches on the floor. We had no other hotel choices at the time we arrived but staying in our car would have been better I think

Nice and quiet. Wifi worked great. Staff very accommodating to my requests. There's a Shoprite, Wendy's, and Laundromat all within 3 to 5 mins driving distance. Gulf Gas station with convenience store within 1 minute walking distance.

The hotel was not like the pictures portrayed it was extremely dirty our group had 3 rooms and all were not well kept in terms of renovations a simple designed blanket doesn’t fix the issues the rooms had, 1 room the toilet was completely black was filthy definitely not cleaned in days! 2nd room had blood on the wall under the sink area mirror. The 3rd smelt of smoke and it wasn’t a smoking room. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I would like my money back.

I had never been in a hotel dirty as this hotel . The room had dirty blankets, the AC was not cooling , the room was an not smoking room and it smelled that someone smoked In there . The mattress itself was dirty . I will never stay in this hotel again. I wish I could give them a 0.

For a low-budget motel, it wasn't too bad but they need to update and clean their bathrooms better. The Bathroom door has black mold and too much moisture in the rooms. Also, the AC was not really kicking out cold air well. The AC unit is highly dated.

The bed was comfortable but there were a few issues.
The AC was very loud and is outdated.
There was no remote control for the TV so we could not watch TV, (the service desk kindly offered a 10% discount for that inconvenience. There was dust on the microwave and the coffee maker so we did not use them.

The motel was of an older model with a lot of monthly tenants. Cleaning staff had a trouble cleaning one of my rooms and seemed to have an issue with coffee.
