No USB for charger in the rooms. Hotel smells old. Not the cleanest and freshest environment. I walked outside and walked back in. Clerk kept watching me until he finally got up the nerve to ask me “could I help you?” I’m sure my race played a big part in his curiosity of who I was and why I was there. Very uncomfortable and I will not be going back.?

As soon as I walked in there was roach running around in my room

It was a good stay. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location close to the airport is a plus. And definitely an affordable stay. The second building to the hotel is undergoing some improvements, but the carpet in the hallways are old and dirty. If they were to be replaced, it would add a lot more to the first impression.

I stayed with my family in this hotel for 9 nights. They denied to clean the room daily and they said we do every 3 days house keeping!! Rude and unhelpful poeple on reception. Very old and dirty room with lots of beetle and ants in the room.
They charged my account in middle of stay for no reason and when I asked them they said we did it by mistake and will refund it. If I did it check my account it could takes long time to fine it out. But they didn’t refund me after a weak I came back home. Finally I had to dispute that transaction to get it back.
Lots of hassles on this hotels. So I don’t recommend to ruin your holiday by booking this hotel.

I booked this hotel for the first and last night of our trip due to its close proximity to the airport. When we arrived for our first night they had canceled our stay because we didn’t check in before midnight. After MUCH coaxing on my part I was able to get us a room to go rest for a few hours. In the second stay in this hotel we were refused an extra blanket (our thermostat was set at 60° when we first entered our room). I have never been denied an extra blanket at a hotel! Top it off with the cockroach under our suitcase as we were leaving!!! We were unimpressed to say the least. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

We were told upon booking that there was 24 hour shuttle service to and from Miami airport. Upon landing, we called the hotel for pick up and informed us that there was no service at that time. That was very disappointing to be told one thing, and only to discover another at 1 AM.
Once we arrived at the hotel, check-in was quick and friendly. We were able to book our shuttle for the following morning to the port of Miami.

When we checked in and got to our room, we found dirty wet towels left behind from the previous guests. Our pillowcases had brown stains on them and the bed sheet had holes. It was disgusting. I will never stay at this property again. I’m happy to spend $$$ extra and stay at a cleaner property next time.

No luggage’s room, no daily room cleaning services, very cheap breakfast, no safety boxes in the room.

Hotel was extremely rundown and dirty. Staff wasn’t friendly. This is a place to stay if you just want a roof over your head and a bed to sleep in.

Only 2 people on staff, when hit with continual airport travelers. Took over 1 hour to get checked in.Hotel bathroom floor was very dirty. Hallway carpets were dirty and worn. Breakfast was only high carb foods.

Everything was good except the mildew smell in our room and a/c didn’t work

It was fine for the price. They use older key cards (ones you put in a slot on the door.) Ours stopped working and we had to go down to the desk to reset them. There was always a long line/wait at the desk. The staff was friendly though. The rooms were clean. The laundry facilities were not very good. One of the two washers was broken, and the other one didn't take my quarters easily. I had to smash the coin return button after each one for it to be counted. Overall it was fine for 2 nights before a cruise. A decent, cheaper option.

My stay at the RedRoof Plus was just one night for a friend's wedding down in Miami. The staff was nice but a quite slow at check in. The hotel although fairly clean looked a bit run down, and like it needed a paint job badly. The bed wasn't bad but the pillows were the worst. Overall i give a rating of a 6 for the staff been courteous, and the place been well secured!

Just one night to catch the plane. Perfect for it's purpose. Don't expect any leisure feeling. It's strategically located near the airport. Have a on time shuttle to the airport. Has a simple breakfast (only sweets). A burger truck outside the hotel with friendly people available. A washer and dryer for clients are available as well. If you have time a pool as well. Not bad at all, but as I said for passing through it is perfect.

I should have taken pictures, but the service at the front desk was terrible, they just ignored me for the most part, and spoken Spanish to each other the whole time. Did not respond to me, even though I was talking to them. Then corrected me harshly when we thought we were done and they weren’t. The room was OK. Water pressure super low, air conditioner did not work. My wife was too tired to change rooms.

Room floor is dirty, bed with hair from previous occupants. Terrible breakfast options with only carb if you like waffles, muffins and toast. No protein and no fruits. Room key doesn’t work and had to stop by the desk every night. It’s a stay that is as good as a roof over the head, nothing more!

Called day before for earlier check in the man said no problem but when we got there had to sit in lobby for a couple of hours other than that was a good hotel

This hotel was disgusting. Avoid at all costs. As soon as we walked in, the lobby was dirty and we were iffy about it. We got to our room and as soon as we opened the door, without even stepping foot in the room, we immediately saw 3 cockroaches scatter and hide. We took video evidence for the staff. They pretended to be surprised about the roaches. We were not going to stay in a cockroach infested hotel. The staff told us they would approve a refund, but it has to go through Hotels.com. We ended up staying at a cleaner, expensive hotel down the street. Management never approved a refund after constant back and forth and hotels.com did nothing to remedy this. Do not stay here and do not trust hotels.com to do their job and satisfy a long time paying customer.

I had no hot water in my room. I asked for a king bed and got two doubles on both visits. No screens in windows for fresh air.

I have never been to a hotel that charge $10.00 per day for parking a car.

I understand things change after 5 years, but this is so sad. The smell is horrid. The bed linens at least felt clean, but the rest was filthy, outdated and lacked a lot of upkeep. Our check-in gentleman was fast, knowledgeable and helpful. Upon checkout, it was over 40 minutes to check out and obtain a receipt. Normally I would just accept an email for my receipt, but for several reasons, I wanted to see it before I left the property. One example was as we waited 40 minutes to check out, there was a female representative who would allow people to check-in before the 3pm time as long as they gave her a $20 bill for a tip. I don't believe that should be allowed in the US at this time. Also, I love the fact that we have bilingual staff to help with guests and tourists. However, the fact that 2 of the staff--one at the front desk and one of the cleaning staff--spoke ZERO English was shocking. If I'm checking out/checking in/looking for where the closest restaurant is...I should be able to ask and be answered in English at this location. One final thing. There are 2 food trucks by the hotel that guests seemed to love. Other than that be prepared to pay for a taxi/Uber to get to other food options and sundry/walmart type places. One positive, the shuttle to the cruise port even on a day with a marathon and road closures went off without a hitch. $12 per person the to cruise port is fair. They offered free shuttle from the airport to the hotel which we appreciated.

The place was horrible. Dirty, dingy. Doors peeling in bathroom. Could not close bathroom door with seat down. Dirt in every corner of the bathroom. No coffee or water in the lobby. Coffee was $2.75 for a small styrofoam cup. I even saw a cockroach in the bathroom. It was a terrible experience.

This is an old run down property that is sufficient but by no means exceptional.

Hallway carpets were filthy. Thermostat in room didn’t control temperature.

The staff was friendly. Rooms were hopefully clean. There was throw up in the door to get ice on the 4th floor. Place smelled of pot. Which is ok if I was partaking. But 24/7 made for a musty dank smell. I think my husband felt a little unsafe in the surrounding area. It all was just not a 4 or 5 star hotel.

There was nowhere to walk to eat from there other than one food truck.
Our bed was saggy in the middle.
It was clean, though.

Airport shuttle was very convenient. The driver was very friendly and gave us info on sites and stores and things we needed. He also has free ice cold water. It comes every half an hour and you have to cross the street to hotel shuttle area and wave at them when they show up.
Check in was nice and easy but when we got to our room it was thrashed with garbage everywhere, urine in the toilet and beds had been slept in. Called the front desk and had to go back to the lobby to get a another room. Our second room was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy. The building was run down but the rooms are decent. We were only staying 1 night before our cruise so it was good. There isn't really anything close to walk to in ways of food but they have 2 food trucks on the property so there are things to eat. The prices weren't too bad. They have 2 ice machines and the soda machines are $3 a drink. They have a continental breakfast for free from 7am-9am.
It is right under the fight paths of the airport. When you are outside it is very loud but we didn't really notice while in the room. They have a shuttle to port Miami for $12pp. It was cheaper to take an uber there. It was a decent stay.
