The Resort is old. We were in a third floor room, so the ceiling was slanted, and it was small. It seemed very plain. I expected much more for the price we paid. Also the bathroom door would not open or close without making an extremely loud noise, which is not great when sharing a room and using the bathroom in the middle of the night.

This on was built in 1820 and because it is on the historic register, an elevator was never added. We had to drag luggage up to the third floor. One if our party uses a walker and getting up the stairs was grueling for him. Hotels that are not handicap accessible should be duly noted!

The staffs are welcoming and friendly. The place is nice and clean. The restaurant serves the best food and drink you could ever find. The room is spacious and clean. I mean the resort is the best place i’ve ever stayed at. I would definitely recommend that anyone should check it out. The restaurant I will recommend any local to stop by and have dinner.

The property is beautiful, nice boutique hotel sitting on 200+ acres of farm land with multiple venues set for special occasions. The rooms are romantic and perfect for a quiet getaway with your loved one.

The property is very nice and well maintained. It seems secluded, but it really isn't. It is a quick drive to Annapolis and about an hour to Washington DC. The staff is fantastic and goes out of their way to resolve any issues. The pool is clean. The rooms that we had (102 and 209) are big and comfy. I would stay again.

It’s called a resort but the restaurant and bar are closed, which wasn’t clear when I booked. So it’s just a motel. Disappointing.

The hotel was beautiful! It is seated back on a quiet piece of land with a neighborhood in front of it so the area is very safe. The hotel charm was obvious the second you pull in. The rooms were gorgeous and very comfortable and every detail was thought about. I returned for 2 more visits because my work trip kept extending if that says anything about how much I like it there. There is no elevator so if mobility is an issue that would be a concern and I wish there was an in room safety latch for the door just for piece of mind, not because I felt unsafe there. I will 100% be returning anytime I am working on the shore.

After staying many times at a brand motel in the area, I will never again make that mistake and will definitely choose Kent Island resort! The beds are amazingly comfortable and the room and resort were wonderful!!!! The grounds were gorgeous and you feel secluded but in 5 minutes your in the middle of everything you need!! Highly, highly recommend!!

Room 206 where we stayed had two steps down from the bedroom to the bathroom. There should be a rail on one side or the other of these stairs as they represent a fall hazard.

Likes: the place was beautiful and staff were awesome... when they were there. The room was extremely well maintained and clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Dislike: on site restaurant and bar were closed for renovations, this was not the case when I booked the hotel and I should have been contacted about that. We had planned on eating there and not having to go back out after a long day of travel. Also, room 104, our room, the smoke detector goes off if you open the door after taking a shower due to the steam. There were no employees at the hotel in the early morning when this happened so it took 10 to 15 minutes before someone was able to shut off the alarm with a code. Apparently this is unknown issue with that room and we should have been informed.

Property is close enough to a major highway yet not visible from any major roads -- secluded. The room I had on the 3rd floor lacked a couple basic amenities: did not have a small closet or rack for hanging clothing; did not have a small refrigerator for personal foods. Offers breakfast only on the weekend.

There were no designated areas to just sit and relax with other quests -- most every area had a table set to eat but no food was being served during our 2 day stay. Our room was pleasant and accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The view from our room was spectacular of the marshes and water. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was an unique step back in time including a fireplace with a very comfortable king sized bed. However the bathroom was updated including a wonderful walk in shower. Overall, a total relaxing experience.

Great place for a getaway, even in the dead of winter. The rear of the inn faces the east where you can watch the sun rise. Well-appointed and large rooms with seating area and coffee bar. The only thing we didn’t like was the door lock situation—no bolt lock and there was a gap at the door jamb. No way to really secure yourself like other hotels. But all-in-all, great place!

The Kent Island Inn is gorgeous. Our room and the entire hotel was super clean and smelled wonderful. We were in 104 and had a little porch walk out from the back of our room. There are so many possible moments on the grounds, a gazebo, a bridge, a dock, a wedding arch, conference rooms, the beautiful barn, reception area, reception tents, etc. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful and you could tell they loved the hotel. For us it was a great get away without the kids. Only 1 1/2-2 hours from Philly suburbs, great dining nearby (we liked the Jetty and Harris Crab House) and shopping too (check out Peace of cake in the historic area of Stevensville, SO GOOD!)
