Weathered hotel; definitely can use an update but the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and service-oriented!

Hotel was a little dated and our room was not the most eye appealing, but it did its job. The staff was very friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Not a bad sleep for the price we paid.

Hotel needs a major renovation. Not worth the money to stay.

This is a very tired property on a very busy and noisy street. I guess non-smoking does not include weed!

Definitely needs some upgrading. Old and dingy. But it worked for just the 1 night.

Stained sheets and comforter , washroom dirty, night tables and lamps stained and dirty , for $500 Canadian your better off in a tent

It was fine. Staff friendly. Area around it is a bit rundown. The bed was comfy. The free breakfast was good. Room itself was clean.

My sheets was dirty and the tv wasn’t working. I had to ask them to change rooms and they did it with no problem. The staff is great. The property is terrible.

The place is horrible. Location horrible. Soon as you step in your greeted with an wet carpet musty smell. The room was still dirty. Burns in comforter and around the tub. Holes in carpet. I left asap. I was not staying there AT ALL.

Good spot when your just catching a game or something.

Nice and comfortable stay. Convenient to the train station and everything downtown.

Shuttle was a huge bonus definitely used it. Cleanliness could’ve been a tad better. Bar in the lobby was fun.

The environment and the run down neighborhood.

This was the most affordable option available for New Year’s Eve. While the property was a bit outdated and needed a bit of upkeep the service was outstanding. Would I prefer a door that stays closed while I’m using the bathroom, sure. But the lobby bar and amazing shuttle drivers far surpassed my expectations. I would recommend to a friend (with a small warning about the bathroom door situation) and I would absolutely stay there again.

The entire third floor and our room smelt of tobacco and marijuana.

Except for the man who checked us in on 12/15/23, all of the staff wee friendly and polite. The initial staff guy was polite but not overly friendly. The first morning the housekeeper knocked on my door and asked if O needed fresh sheets and towels. She changed the sheets, and left fresh towels. She was very nice. However, she failed to empty either of the two waste basketsI had purchased food the evening before and had failed to eat most of it. I had placed the box of food in a plastic bag and it was in the restroom. I would think you would wish to keep the premises clean if food to discourage insects and rodents. I rented a second room , Room 120 for two nights and the guest in that room asserted neither of his waste baskets had been emptied. The place is very lows, there was a disturbance in the hall and the police had to be called. You need security to keep down the noise and insist people return to their rooms. I was annoyed that the delivery man came directly to my door. He should have stopped at the front desk and I should have been called to the lobby. I was I’ll at ease dealing with this stranger; and he could have wandered the halls, attempting to break in or rob one of your customers. It was understood he would call me once he reached the hotel, which he did not do. I was on the first floor and my room looked out onto the parking lot. I felt very unsafe, and uncomfortable during my stay in that room. People in the parking lot were noisy and my curtain did not close

The staff was very nice, especially the night security guard. He was so friendly and made my friend and I feel safe having him there since it is downtown Detroit after all. The only actual complaint I have is when we went to use a towel, one of them still had some corse dark hair on it. There was no phone in the room so if you needed towels or more soap, you had to call from your phone or go to the lobby to ask for it. We were gonna all day at one point and when we came back to the room, it was untouched.

It was comfortable!

The staff was very helpful. The driver for transportation went above and beyond to get us to where we needed go. So appreciated his kindness. The man who checked us in was professional and helped us.

The workers where nice and on point

Was good enough for our overnight stay. Staff was very friendly. Hallways smelled horribly of cigarettes, room did not. Some crumbling plaster by door, but room was clean.

Only issue during the check-in was that I paid for a room with a king size bed and was initially put in a room with a full size bed… Had to go to the reception again to ask for a change.

Close to downtown core, clean, good value .

For an affordable stay in Detroit, for a place that is not a hooker hotel this place was great. So close to everything and shuttle service.

Such a nice place to stay for a late night early morning retreat
