Great family get away

Stay was overall okay. Air didn’t cooling off enough even after being set to 65 high, water took 15 minutes to get warm enough for a shower, and heard rats in the walls. Also, the vending machine on our floor was completely out of stock and had to pay $10 for small drinks at the café. Wasn’t happy with the food from the café or the Java place, but frappe was great.

Our stay was great. Couldn’t ask for a better room to stay in.

Made me feel welcomed and Junior Suite was wonderful. Getting food after midnight was a plus. Didn't have to leave the hotel at a late hour to eat. Messed up my room key and was given another one quickly without any hassle!

It was great! I wished we could have more drinks available before 5:00 pm or in the pool food service but beside that? Everything was great

Poor customer service at the front desk, the ladies were very rude and unhelpful. The room was not cleaned well, I had to wipe down the counters and the tub myself.

Staff was Amazing, friendly.

I stay here quite regularly for work.. the biggest problem is checking in. If you don’t catch Ahren or maybe one other employee it’s a nightmare. Check in takes to long they never figure out the upgrade of the food/beverage credit. When I walk in and see who’s working I usually cringe.

Very disappointed with our stay at this property...We actually checked out a day earlier. The property is in need of so serious cleaning n updates..The casino is so smoky you can hardly breathe, plus the slots machines suck. The dining options are very few n the ones available are overpriced n not very tasty, the restaurants are essentially shut down with limited hours during the week days and mainly operational on weekends...
I personally feel every guest should have the same experience all the time, instead the property feels deserted on week days...
The staff are the most nonchalant, unfriendly people I've seen in my recent travels.....

Nice stay. Good staff and comfortable room. Needs updating but still nice. Had a good meal in the restaurant

We only stayed for a nite mid week so there wasn’t too many guests there. The place was clean but empty. The front desk rep was friendly and helpful. The room was more spacious than other casino hotels but the carpet was worn out. The room was clean but dated .there wasn’t any smartphone charger plugs. The bathroom was roomy and clean but needs an air vent. The bed was too firm & pillow was firm too. I didn’t have the best sleep.

It was just blah. Hotel needs updating. Casino just wasn’t appealing. Whole vibe was off

It's an older building, but it's clean. The bellman service is over the top. Honestly, seems like a technique to get tips. And the bellman starts at 7 am, so if you need to leave before that you're screwed 'cuz they wont give you a cart. We carried all of our bags on our bodies because we had to leave early. Comedy for the type of place it is.

Overall not bad at all.

Comfortable hotel room, but gaming is a little dated

Great place to stay. Good price. I even won a little at the casino.

Really enjoyed my stay. If I had one complaint, it would be the cigarette smells. The hotel is suppose to be 100% smoke free yet there are ash trays at the elevators.

Our stay was ok. The rooms smelled like cigarettes badly. It was very overpowering. That truly detracted from our stay. In addition, the beds were very hard, and linens were scratchy. I understand the hotel is old, but I would have hoped that they could at least eliminate the cigarette smell.

A bit dated but made up by having a super-friendly front desk staff and smoke-free rooms,

It’s the nicest place I’ve stayed at in a while, friendly people and very comfortable and clean.

One word: Terrible. Room 1919 should be out of service. It’s next to the elevator and it wasn’t any problem with hotel guests it was the elevator itself. It seems like there was no insulation between the room and the elevator shaft. All night long you heard the clankity clank/swoosh noise. It was Terrible.

We were on the 9th floor, check ours and 3 below for soda machines and they were all empty. Took 45 minutes to go to the dollar store they recommended. Room was overall clean and comfy. The chair they had out needs some serious cleaning is all i can say bad. With the cooler had drinks in it. Thats all we have to complain about. Servers in the restaurants were wonderful too

When checking in the associate talked super fast and unfriendly. At one point she asked if I would like to have any services added to my stay, I replied asking what kind, she ignored me and continued to check me in. Didn’t tell me where we could park since valet was closed during our entire 5 day stay. We figured out it was across the street. After going into our room it seemed nice and spacious until you begin to take a deeper look. Like other reviews there were random stains on everywhere including the linen, lamp shade, carpet, in the bathroom. A picture on the wall had a broken frame. There was a spot on the floor that looked as if the fabric melted. The head board material was peeling. The hot water was turned off at the bathroom sink, when we turned it on we realized why. The handle was broken and the water would not shut off. The hair dryer did not work. The tub had a crack in the floor so you could feel it sink when you stepped in that area. The tub slowly drained so you would be standing in water up to your ankles. We asked for extra towels on the third day of stay and it took over an hour to receive. If we ever decide to take a trip back to Shreveport, we are definitely skipping this hotel.

Everything was excellent. Clean, friendly, excellent service. Only complaint was too smokey in hallways of casino floor. Yes, have non-smoking casino section, but smoke smell and drifting throughout casino floor.

I stopped because it had the best reviews for a hotel/casino with hotels.com and I wanted to be somewhere where there were a lot of people and restaurants as I was traveling alone. The hotel reeks of smoke smell. The only restaurant closes at 10. The reception was less than welcoming. She asked if I wanted a river or city view and I said whatever was the prettiest- this what I got. (See photo) Room has not been updated in YEARS- and was riddled with cigarette burns. Hall smelled so badly like pot- had to put a towel along the door opening to stop it from coming into my room. Do not stay here. They should be shut down. They should have paid me to stay here.

stay was comfortable. The walking and the long walk to check in was a little rough and seems like it could be made easier for guests. Other than that everything was fine.

We only stayed one night, just to get away and have some fun. The room receptionist was very nice and helpful! The room was exceptionally clean. It definitely helped to return home with extra money from gambling.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay but we found ourselves eating more of the outside food than enjoying the food at the restaurants located on the premises due to not being good. We didn’t tried the Steakhouse out of worry that it wasn’t going to be good either.

Property is run down. Bed not very comfortable, room was cold, blankets were thin. Couldn’t get hot water for the shower. The room was clean and the view was cool. Location convenient for downtown activities. Staff were friendly even though overworked. William Bs restaurant was not worth the money; would definitely skip it. Hubs spent 30 minutes in a restaurant to get breakfast- never even got a water before he gave up. Many other local casino hotel options. Will definitely pick an alternate on the next trip.

Sheets had a huge stain and comforter had cigarette burns.
