The Jamaican breakfast was excellent and Christine and Yanique provided the best service you could have possibly asked for. The staff at Jamaica Palace took care of me and the family. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Jamaica Palace in Portland. While the property is spectacular the gems of Jamaica Palace are the staff. Simone, Christine, Yanique and all the others whose names I did not get. You are all the benchmark of great service. Thank you for the experience.

The room was unique (56), it was evident much thought was placed into the design and layout.

Pleasant property, clean with reasonably up to date fixtures. WiFi slightly slow during our stay, and check in is manual however a convenient option at reasonable rates.

Jamaica Place is so intimate and relaxing all staff were extremely polite and welcoming. I will visit again and again. Even though we travelled 8 hours to drive there.

Great customer service all round. From front desk, to managers to bar staff and servers. Was really quiet as not many guests when we stayed which made it a nice relaxing experience. Roads leading to the property are quite bad as they are currently fixing them. Overall food was good (enjoyed dinner and breakfast) but lunch options could be improved.

We enjoyed our stay. The only issue was the Road condition leading to and from the hotel and this really had nothing to do with the hotel.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!
THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED, and I have stayed in many.
1. There are no AC in the dining/restaurant or Lobby
2. You are not allowed to have visitors to your rooms although this is not an all inclusive hotel with any amenities.
3. If you would like your guest to come to your room it is US$66 - for day pass - not stay over guest. 4. Remember there are no amenities
5. The beds are musty and stuffy
6. The beds are as tough as concrete- literally.
7. They seem to have plumbing issues / the toilet doesn’t flush properly and the water backs up in the tub
8. No kettle or coffeemaker , no coffee or tea.
9. They need a new chef- food is not good at all.
However, The manager, Ms Campbell, is really not bad. ( the new owner I heard is very mean and oppressive). The staff are very pleasant and courteous - the best I’ve ever met in Jamaica - but they are not cheerful, you can tell just by looking at them. As nice as they are, they seem so timid and uncomfortable.

We had a very pleasant two-day stay at Jamaica Palace. The condition of the property and facilities was excellent. Our only "gripe" was with the food; quality of preparation which can stand to be improved. This is the only area I'd give a merely OK rating.

The rooms were nice and clean, the bed is a bit stiff. It would also be nice to have more of a variety in terms of food and if it could stay open a little bit later. The pool also closes early, at 6. The hotel employees were all very nice and helpful .

This was a very pleasant experience staying here. We loved it and the management and staff are very attentive to our needs. I’d would’ve love a welcome drink or two bottles of water in the room. I’d have also loved some local cuisine for dinner. Also if I had known that we can use the pool prior to the posted 10am. This would’ve been great because the heat was no joke. Also the bar should be open more so while in the pool you can order drinks. But other than that this place, management and staff gets five stars!! They aim to please.

We had a wonderful stay at the palace . March 27th , staying for one night..however the young lady that check us in was not friendly, she did not smile she seem like she does not like her job. No welcome I think she should be working in the back office. Our room was spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff was outstanding especially chandelier and our main waitress I forgot her name . We had dinner the night before and all servers were great.

My stay at the hotel was very pleasing .
All the members of staff was pleasant and helpful including mrs Campbell the manager .
On arrival I was given a free upgrade to my accommodation and also a glass of complimentary wine.
There was one waiting staff Lorris that really stood out at breakfast she was extremely conscious of her roll and preformed excellently.
The only downsides were the internet kept chipping out hence at times it was difficult to watch the television and also the television has very limited channels working finally the rooms could benefit from tea/ coffee making facilities.
Also there was no night entertainment but on the whole a very pleasant stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you and into a quiet and private time with family or significant other. The food is awesome. The staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous. Authentic Jamaican food is also just a 10mins drive from the hotel and same for beach. I will certainly revisit.

TheHotel is beautiful met all expectations and was filled with courteous staff. Definitely would return. Great place for large family or group gatherings.

Stayed here with family, was in town for a funeral hotel was nice , service was great, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, food was good but limited .

This place was strangely wonderful in some ways. 80 bedrooms, all facilities open and well managed by friendly staff, including great pool area and gardens, dining room and bar, but for 2 of our 3 nights there only 2 rooms taken, ours. 4 guests in the whole hotel. The staff outnumbered us by about 4-1. It is a grand, quirky hotel which we enjoyed staying at. The food in the dining room was unfortunately not that great for the price, and the road in the area is still under construction so is bad. It is not easy to go far in the evening so after trying the hotel restaruant maybe eat out during the day and just relax in the evening as we did.

Service was great, staff very pleasant and professional, property was clean and well kept. Food quality was consistent for entire stay and taste was excellent. I would definitely revisit.
