We stayed at the Waterford castle for 4 nights. Loved every minute of it. Gorgeous views and excellent service. Had breakfast daily in the gorgeous sun room where the meals were especially catered for us. The views from the castle were amazing, beautiful sunsets. Our favorite room was the Rose Suite. Spacious and such a comfortable bed. Staff would go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and to meet your needs. I would recommend staying at Waterford Castle.

The castle and the ground are magnificent and the rooms beautiful. I have traveled extensively over the last 40 years, and then that time I have had no finer meal, then was served at the castle for dinner. Clearly the work of one of the finest chefs imaginable.

Beautiful castle and lovely stay! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff welcoming. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast. Comfy bed, very nice amenities. I only wish we couldve stayed longer

We've been traveling in Italy for thirteen days and now in Ireland for another nine days. The Waterford Castle has been by far the best hotel we've stayed in regardless of price (Rome was more expensive). The dinner was perhaps the best meal, all things considered we've ever had and I've traveled all over the world. If you want a unique experience where you will be spoiled beyond your expectations, book the Waterford Castle.

Beautiful old castle. Staff very attentive with a lovely resteraunt and included breakfast. Grounds are beautiful and offer the ability for a long hike. Room was comfortable and spacious. Our stay was everything we had hoped for.

It was very authentic like which was what our party was wanting, room on second floor was warm and no air conditioning so beware. They do have a fan. Very cool old building

I loved the atmosphere of the experience, and it starts with the kindness, from the reception, to Mike who helped me with luggage, to fillipo the bartender! The whole time was enjoyable!

The castle was amazing. We stayed in the beautiful room it was very spacious & comfortable.
All the staff eas very friendly.
We eat at
restaurant in the castle waiter was excellent & food was amazing.
We played croquet on the front lawn & walked the grounds.
Was a great pkace. Would return on future trip to Waterford.
Did tour at House of Waterford it is a must do if you are in Waterford.

Our room had an old style claw tub and the shower was an old style ring with a shower curtain that wrapped around you. Although very nostalgic, not practical. For such a luxurious hotel, in this day and age, the wifi was terrible. Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds, and the staff are exceptional, but way too expensive for what you get.

Rooms, castle and gardens were beautiful. The breakfast was delightful wilt filled menu and continental foods of pastries, cereals, and more. Lovely setting and warm friendly staff. We are glad we stayed. Shower was a bit tight with the shower curtain and our bathroom window only had a sheer.

This is a truly beautiful hotel in a stunning location. It’s a castle so don’t expect all the latest mod-cons. The Restaurant is very good and the food is really top notch. Be warned there is only a ferry to access the hotel, no bridge so don’t arrive too late

The hotel and grounds lovely and nothing to complain about cleanliness or physical condition of facilities. Our 5th hotel on Ireland tour and this one all the service seemed "transactional". Checkin and out confusing, last dinner served 7:30, sommelier suggestion for beef course was "any of our red wines ".
The island location accessible by ferry only is both romantic and isolating.

We loved our stay at Waterford Castle! The staff was very welcoming and helped us with our luggage upon arrival. The rooms are very clean and come with loads of amenities. We certainly recommend this option to anyone staying near Waterford!

Great unique place on its own island. Staff are super efficient and friendly. Rooms are spacious, classic and well appointed. Hallways are tired but that’s the only thing negative.

Fantastic location on a private island on the river suir. Requires a short free car ferry ride which takes 5 mins. Rooms are old world what you'd expect from a castle. Interior very ornate. There's a fabulous fireplace in the reception. I could imagine sitting there on a cold winters night with a couple of hot whiskeys! Staff are very friendly. Afternoon tea and dinner in the dining room were amazing. Overall a great stay and a great old world experience. Will definitely visit again.

Gorgeous secluded castle. Very classy. The food was amazing. The staff was amazing. The bathrooms are classic Victorian old bathrooms but fit the style of the hotel. Was a great way to end my vacation in Ireland. Was such a beautiful place and can not wait to go back. I highly recommend this property as a place to stay while visiting Southern Ireland

Such a beautiful place to stay the night. It’s an actual castle with beautiful grounds, a golf course and a very scenic walk. All the modern conveniences including good WiFi and a big bathroom. You take a ferry across onto the island and to the castle. Dinner was very good. We didn’t have breakfast because we couldn’t get anyone to wait on us so we left to have breakfast in town. That was the only issue with our stay.

I can't really rate the castle because some rich shit rented out the whole place causing us to be relocated to a townhouse by the country club. Now to be honest they had warned me that this would be the case after I made our reservation, however it was too late for me to change our plans...and the townhouse was nice. What was really disappointing though was that the shit also had exclusive use of the castle's restaurant and since the clubhouse only does breakfast on weekends, we were left without a means of breakfast during our stay... A situation we had not been warned about, otherwise we could have purchased food in advance.

The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was nice until they learned we were staying in the "villas" and had an infant with us. Then they ACTUALLY lied by changing their response. They were exceedingly inattentive at dinner and wouldn't give us breakfast that came with room price at the club house!!! Then the maid service was literally waiting outside our villas to get us out of there. We didn't even have all our belongings out before they pushed passed us. Snobbish, rude and especially don't appreciate lying.

WOW! it is an experience well worth the bit extra $. The whole property was beautifully presented and the history and grandeur made it an overall fabulous experience.

We were a group of 3 women on a golf stay away...the lodges were perfect as we each had our own bedroom. Self catering was just the thing as we had our cereals in the lodge and then headed to the golf clubhouse for the most delicious scones and coffee. the ferry was marvellous..every 15 mins so we were able to travel around a bit. Golf course needs a little bit more care but overall good value for money. We chose not to eat in the castle as the choice was limited and had too many courses and quite expensive and the Fitzerald Bar closed for eating too early.Overall: we would definitely return. A Spa would would be the icing on the cake!!

A snafu at check-in was discretely resolved to everyone's satisfaction and allowed us to stay the night in one of the lodges. It turned out to be perfect for the grandchildren--they got their own room and saved me a few hundred dollars to boot!

This place put everyone else to shame. We stayed in one of the cottages. There was deer on the greens when we arrived. The apt was wonderful for our family of 5. 3 large double beds and 3 bathrooms plus a kitchen for the family. Honestly wish we would have stayed here longer. If you are on the fence about booking this place, go ahead, you won't regret it.
