We spent a full week at the Lotus and really enjoyed it. The Turkish breakfast is delicious and made with care by Başak and the charismatic Atilla. Our spacious upstairs room had three windows with a beautiful view over the village rooftops and rolling hills.
Atilla looks after every guest with interest and humor, and he clearly enjoys getting to know the people who stay with him. He checks in often, sincerely asking if there is anything more we need or anything that could make our stay better, and it is obvious he truly cares. We found him personable, witty, and easy to talk to, and we will never forget his kindness and hospitality.
The village is lovely for a stroll, especially in the morning. There is free parking just outside the busy center, but it has no lighting at night, so we used the vineyard’s lot instead; buy a bottle of their wine and parking is free. The Lotus made a great base for day trips to Priene, Miletus, Didyma, Ephesus, and many other ruins.

Atilla, the host was incredibly hospitable. He helped us sort transport to Marmaris which we couldn’t find information about online. The place is very comfortable and clean and historic, being at least 400 years old.

Lovely authentic building and lovey welcome from owner Attila. Breakfast on the terrace was really good and Attlia could not be more accommodating.
Owner preferred payment in cash, not an issue but I wish knew in advance as had to get more money out but owner shows us to cash machine which was very close by.

It’s age and quirkiness. The staff are wonderful and happy to help out how ever they can. Breakfast starts at 9am. We weee leaving at 8:30 and the staff made us some sandwiches that were very tasty.
Bathrooms need maintenance and a have some mould. Handles breaking, shower head feel off and electrical cable running through shower!!
Beds are very firm.
