the room where nasty smell like weed the bathroom sink was clogged. At soon you open de hotels entrance door smell like weed and the whole hotel. I have asthma and ended with asthma attack

The parking lot was dirty and unlit. There were several people standing outside next to the entryway smoking and loitering. My wife and I had to walk through the smell of cigarette smoke to enter the building. The tile in the foyer was broken and the lobby was dark and dirty. The room had one working light.There was only one bed and the pillows looked as if they were washed in a machine and left to dry in a folded in half position. There wasn’t even a couch in the room. We were in the room for less than five minutes before we decided that the room was unsafe and unacceptable. I spoke to the desk clerk and told him we were not staying and asked for a refund. He told me that I would have to speak to the third party booking agent,Expedia we only spent ten minutes in an unacceptable location. I have spent many nights in hotels all over the world and I can honestly say that the Super 8 in Hammond Indiana was one of the worst.

The motel stopped giving breakfast as mentioned on Internet

There were spider web at the window and dirty, holes in the wall/ no door stopper, curtains were raggedy looking from outside , most of the guests looked homeless as if they lived here, someone knocked on my door at midnight and didn’t say anything and disappeared. Only one useable out of reach electrical outlet by the bed/ no usb outlet and the person above me was very noisy walking around after midnight like it’s a party!

In today's market you get what you pay for. That said our 1night get away from the family was great! For this place being a no frills place it was clean. A sit down restaurant is across the parking lot.

I was tired after a long day of work when a rat ran all of the sudden. I went to the front desk and explained the situation, they offered to kill the rat or to move to another room. I took option 2 of course.

The front desk night guy was lazy to the point of not wanting to get out of the chair. Horrible attitude even if you paid him more he would have the same attitude. A mouse was in the room. Front desk guy didn't care. This is a dump.

Super8 looked clean but there was movement in the room I sat up looked again it was a big ass mouse I called the front desk at 1AM he said I can move you to another room I said ok can you help me he said I can give you a key I moved to another room that had roaches omg I called the front desk back the he’ll management will be in at 8, they did move me to another hotel but I’m home & I can’t bring my bags in I have to leave them outside to make sure I don’t bring any bugs in my home

It would help if these hotels had true descriptions of their amenities. specified accessto an OUTDOOR POOL. THERE WAS NO POOL.

I stayed for 1 night on the way to Chicago, it was ok for 1 night stay

The room was clean and smelled fresh. It's what i would expect for the price. I wasn't looking to spend alot of money plus it was close to food. It's in Hammond, Indiana so there's no attractions

No breakfast

I figured the other reviews were spot on, and I was correct. The only reason I booked the place is because of the cost. Indiana has prohibited smoking inside businesses for at least ten years now, and I am sure Super 8 is just about ready to fumigate the place to rid of smoke odor..... or whatever that smell was. The room itself was decently clean, but the musty smell was unpleasant until the windows were opened to neutralize the situation. The bathroom was very acceptable and a nice respite from the rest of the building. At least I could take a shower and feel cleaner after then before. I really don't understand how a business can be run like this and the ownership have a good conscience about it. Old and dated hallways, elevator tiles, wall. I can say that I chose dirty as a description only because there was no other choice. it was more you can tell very few people have gone the first mole to keep this place up and going let alone the second mile.

It could have been cleaned better and some maintenance items cared for but I can't expect much for a $70 room.

LOOK AT MY CHECK IN THE MAN WAS AWFUL. I ASK FOR A RECEIPT AND HE ASKED ME WHY I WANTED A RECEIPT, THE CARPET IN MY ROOM WAS SO DIRTY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BURNED, THEIR WAS ONLY ONE CHAIR IN THE ROOM, THE PILLOWS WERE LIKE NOTHING YOU CAN DESCRIBE, GLAD IT WAS FOR ONE NIGHT , WILL NOT STAY THEIE AGAIN UNTIL ITS BEEN CLEANED UP, WENT FOR BREAKFAST IT WAS ALL GONE AT 7 AM.

Motel wasn't bad but room needs a lot of work. Service was ok, room was cleaned every day. Main issue, rooms need maintenance upkeep. Will find another motel if we go back.

Hotel needed some cosmetic work in the room and halls. Ice machine was not working. Iron in my room didn't work

Room safety hazard with cracks in floor, sink partially installed with hardware (possibly sharp metal) under sink, poor lighting, stains floor and loveseat and also bathroom looks like mold in many spots. I have never taken pictures, but way too much to remember and type. You should look at the room you sold me.

Do not recommend this hotel. Mold...peeling paint dirty bed lines....food spatters on the furniture full garbage.cans. Rm 104
