Excellent hotel at the Lido, which s a beautiful and quiet Island, 15 minutes vaporetto ride to St. Marco Square. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is delicious, receptionists are friendly and super helpful. It was my second stay at I intend to return.

Superbly maintained hotel. Very comfortable beds and clean toilets. The breakfast had good variety, fresh fruits was highlight.
Location of hotel is very convenient, just few meters walking distance from very well connected Lido water bus service. Overall great place to stay for comfortable holiday.

The view from our window across the lagoon was gorgeous! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Super convenient from the Vaporetto. We will definitely stay there again when in Venice. It was nice to be out of the hustle/bustle of the city. Lido is beautiful.

This is a very nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one important thing: the bed was very hard with partially broken springs which made sleeping very difficult. We had to resort to putting 2 quilts under the sheet in order to manage to sleep at all. Mattress desperately in need of replacing!
Everything else was great: spacious well appointed suite (with 2 working safes and wardrobes and good air conditioning), lovely breakfast with good and friendly service and wonderful views over to Venice. The location was super convenient being so close to the Lido vaporetto stop (we got the 3 day vaporetto pass and were able to have full days and nights out and get back to the room for an afternoon rest or late at night very easily). Also on top of all the restaurants, shops and bars of Lido and direct walk to the beach. Reception staff were helpful, we had a late night check-in and had our cases kept for us for quite a few hours after check-in no problem. Didn’t try the bar/restaurant as we were too busy exploring Venice! Excellent cleaning service, room cleaned every day.

The staff was incredibly understanding and helpful. We arrived very late in the night but they made sure we were able to get into our rooms with all we needed. Very nice rooms, but some tight spaces that made maneuvering with bags a challenge

Wonderful hotel, very nice suites, very convenient to ferry transport to Venice and airport. Staff was extremely helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice hotel with a fabulous position overlooking the lagoon and close to the ferry station.
Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff.
Internet provided was pretty poor, either slow or dropping out completely.
Drink prices are on the heavy side at €10 for a beer though you do get a 10% discount as a guest. I preferred to pay €4 at the bar across the road, which is personal choice of course.
Overall enjoyed our stay

Reception staff, headed by Chiara fantastic. Some bar, restaurant and kitchen staff ill tempered and very rude.
On our first day we asked about vegetarian dishes. The menu showed one pasta dish or salad which was for starter and main course. We asked if any other dishes could be prepared and told ‘no’ this is a fish restaurant! We ate elsewhere and when we came back the restaurant was empty of customers. Such a pity.
Next day we arrived for breakfast 30 mins before close to be told no cheese left as the chef only gave them one tray of cheese. After we insisted they prepare more we heard the restaurant staff member being blasted by the chef. This explains some excellent ratings and some poor ratings for this hotel. Not what you expect from a 4* hotel and not the relaxing break we’d looked forward to.

Villa Laguna is located at the border of the Lido, so it has a spectacular view of Venice across the Laguna from their restaurant, garden terrace and some of the rooms/suites.
Because of some outdated info on the roominfo I was signed to a suite with no bathtub but a shower instead (due to recent innovations I believe) When I mentioned that to the staf and explained why I always book rooms with a tub, they graciously upgraded me to a "Lagoon view suite". And a view it had! The charming suites are elaborately decorated and consists of separately living and sleeping areas. Nice roomy spaces and a great bed! A compact kitchen can be used for a fee when needed. A waterheater and some tea and instant coffee is provided. My only regret is that they don't provide bathrobes and slippers as in most 4*hotels. The free minibar was a nice surprise, also the bigger size fridge. The staf was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was, for Italian norms, very satisfying with alot of choises. The Hotel has a great garden terrace (and restaurant) with astonishing views of Venice and some surrounding islands, is also located almost next to the vaporetto station to/from Venice. I had a pleasant stay and will book again.

The only good thing about this Hotel is the only nice guy who works at night... the rest... rude staff, old and bad condition of the hotel and really bad breakfast!!

Beautiful property with amazing views, location is perfect to walk to the beaches, restaurants, and quick trip to Venice. Me and my family with small children had a great trip here. Small property so may not have all the amenities of a large hotel but perfect location and great breakfast included. The staff and owner of the hotel took great care of us when we arrived. Our luggage got lost but they made us feel very welcome and quickly provided us some food to eat, even though the kitchen was closed. Highly recommend.

Best accommodation in Venice by far .Next to ferry stop , spotless clean ,super friendly staff ,amazing water views , worth 5 stars .

The location is besutiful, the staff is really helpful and nice. They packed breasfast for us the days we could'nt wait due to tours schedules. The barhroom is small but the others positives things compensate for it.
We love it the area and closeness to the boat stations. The boats are expensive if you plan to leave the island daily so the best choise is to buy the weekly pass.

Wonderful, would definitely stay there again, garden suite with lagoon view, so peaceful, excellent restaurant.

Most hospitable and helpful hosts. Awesome breakfast with equally great views. Location at Lido Vaporetto docks makes Venice and islands accessible with so less hoards. Sunset spritz, 10.Location, rooms, staff = a gem for basing a Venice visit.

The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect! It is steps from the water taxi dock, and a 10 minute boat ride to Venice. The breakfast had a good variety of delicious food. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had some mold in the corners of the shower, but overall it was very clean. The staff were super helpful and kind.

Really close to waterboats and Main Street to beach

Excellent location on Venice Lido, next to waterbus terminal. Decor is a bit dated but still comfortable accommodation. Only stayed for one night and unfortunate that restaurant and bar were closed due to private party as the views of Venice at sunset would have been great from there.

We visited in Sept 2017.
Villa Laguna sits on the Lido about ten minutes ferry ride across the lagoon from Venice and St Marks square. It is about 100 yards from the ferry pier with great views across the bay towards Venice. The Lido is much quieter than Venice itself so is great for relaxing away from the busy city at the end of the day. It is perfectly located for the ferry and also has local shops, restaurants and amenities very nearby. The hotel itself is charming with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant, terrace and bar take full advantage of the views. This hotel is ideal if you want to enjoy Venice but spend your downtime in a quieter more relaxed environment. Don’t be put off by the fact you need a ferry as they run every ten minutes throughout the day. We purchased a three day ferry pass for €40 each which allows unlimited trips.
I would have no hesitation staying here again.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriend and I to celebrate his 30th birthday, it did not disappoint!
Beautiful views across the lagoon, the hotel staff were so lovely and helpful, the room was gorgeous and we had a super view!...very relaxing and romantic atmosphere....a few restaurants near by and the beach was a 10 minute walk...we were very lucky with the weather and it was quiet everywhere in lido because we went out of season, Venice was just a 10 minute water taxi ride away, this was perfect as we weren't right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of central Venice...I would recommend a 3 day water taxi ticket as you get a free day and we were there 4 days...it works out cheaper that way...I would highly recommend this hotel this time of year (march) the weather was lovely and it was quiet! The staff mentioned they get very very busy peak season so I'm guessing you wouldn't have the same experience going June/July time as you would going in march...we went for 3 nights 4 days and spent €600 between us....we drank a lot of wine and experienced the florian cafe (legendary spot) which was pricey but I'd recommend going there! Great spot for people watching and you get to drink in the sunshine :)
We are in no rush to go back to Venice but we would and we would go back to villa Laguna for sure!

I am very satisfied with this hotel. Everything from the staff to the breakfast was perfect. The hotel has a great view of Venice and Saint Marks Square is less than ten minutes away by boat taxi. The room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk staff went out of their way to ensure that I knew where to go and how to get to the main tourist attractions. I am very satisfied with this hotel.

We chose Villa Laguna based on its location - on the Lido with a wonderful view of Venice. Our plan was to go to Venice in the day, go back to the hotel and relax on the terrace enjoying the view and then return to Venice for an evening meal. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we ended up staying during Venice film festival week.
Unfortunately, the hotel gave itself over to media companies so the only part of the hotel we could use between 12-19.30 was our room. In fact they were extremely disruptive much earlier, with us having to battle through people setting up for the day whilst we were trying to have breakfast.
I don't mind the hotel making money out of the film festival, in fact it makes a lot of sense for a small hotel to do so, what I do object to is not being told in advance that our stay would be subject to significant restrictions, in spite of the fact that the price was at a massive premium (more than double). What the hotel must do is tell people staying at this time that they should consider their booking to be just a room with breakfast, without use of any other hotel facilities, other than the restaurant in the evening. They can then decide whether they want to stay in full knowledge of the facts.
If you have got this far and want to know about the hotel, it was lovely. The staff were great, speaking excellent English and very helpful. Our room was cosy but well furnished. The restaurant great. I would recommend it for any other week than film festival.
