Outstanding location , with breathtaking views of Umbria from atop of the hill on which the small town of Bettona is located . During the 13th and 14th centuries the hotel was a hospital and an orphanage . Wasn’t thrilled with the restaurant , but that of course is a matter of taste. All in all , I enjoyed the 3 night stay , using it as a base to visit Perugia (30 minutes drive) and Assisi (also 30 minutes).
Just plan the parking locations near the major sights , otherwise , it’s an arduous climb .

The views were incredible! The historical values and sense of being made every moment special. The location on the mountain top made you feel safe, protected and relaxed. The staff was gracefully accommodating and tended to our every want and need! This was my second stay here and it won't be my last...we LOVE it here!
