Hotel was very nice overall. Weird things to note. Swimup bar pool was a small pool all to itself...it needs to be connected to the bigger pool. You have to get out of the other pool, walk to the swimup bar, get in the water and then order and get out to go to the other pool. Once out of large pool, just walkup to the bar (other side of swimup bar) and walk back and jump in the large pool...weird. All-inclusive restaurants were fine but only open during certain hours. They need a snack bar or small place that had stuff available at all hours. 1st all-inclusive I've been to that didn't have room service. Beds were extremely hard! My wife couldn't sleep hardly and had extreme back pain. My back was stiff too.

Loved the size and layout and fact didn't feel crowded. I didn't like that the lift was out on the 11th and no sign was put up to say use another lift. Had to walk up 4 flight of stairs with elderly relatives. Also tv was out the entire stay and all though I told the desk no one came to look af it.

Riu is nice for a quick getaway. The staff moves like a unit & loves each other like family. They’re beyond helpful Entertainment was good, drinks were amazing, restaurants were good and buffets were decent. Overall I enjoyed my stay

The food was really bad. Expedia service system was even worse. You guys failed to provide transportation even though it was included as the free amenities provided to us. This resort is also very boring. If you’re a young adult and want to party, stay elsewhere.

Dont believe the negative reviews. I almost didnt book because of them and so glad i ignored them. One of the best riu’s i have stayed at. Friendliest hardworking people. Clean rooms. A huge array of food between buffet and specialty restaurants. There is a jerk chicken hut 12-5pm by the pool. The entertainment team are the best! Whether its day or night, kids or adults, there is always something to do. The beach is clean, the workers do their best in morning to clean the seaweed. The water is clear. Vendors are not around to annoy you as they are not allowed on the premises. I was a solo traveler, felt very safe and met so many people from around the world I ended up hanging out with. Def book. U will regret it!

Everything was good. Didn’t have my room cleaned for about 2-3 days. Place is really far from the airport so when you leave the resort, the taxi prices are insanely high. Biggest downfall was no shuttle service to airport provided by resort.

Omg staff was amazing they cleaned the room daily with bleach....food was good at the buffet the steak house not so much. Property is anazing clean the beach the waterpark...only minor thing i did not like i asked for a coconut but the guy told me they sell it....however i seen he gave it to a few other people but besides that great place

Traveled with family. The property is beautiful. They keep it very clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. We came across a couple of small annoyances, but nothing that couldn't be rectified. The electrical outlet, for the coffee pot didn't work, so we had to move the coffee pot. The safe gave us a problem every time we tried to open it. We had to call and have it opened one morning because it totally locked up on us. However, the hotel was extremely quick to send someone up to unlock it. Be aware the mini bar staff doesn't start work until 8:00 am and is not available after a certain time. Twice, we tried to get more coffee, sugar and creamers but were told the mini bar staff wasn't available. We had to walk to the front desk to get the supplies.

Sadly we got rained out about half the trip but it was still a great time! Resort is nice even though the rooms a little dated. Not like we are in the room enough to care. Snorkeling was great in front of the resort and next door. Went way out to the second level of reefs next door and it was amazing. Food was repetitive at the buffet but good. Typically the RIU’s we’ve stayed at vary the food just a little each night. This one was the exact same, no themes or anything. Staff are all great.

I believe there must be an independent qualify control superviser, the food seems commercially seasoned. The staff on maintenance, electrical, plumbing where professional and serviced promptly. But some of the conditions of public spaces seem abandoned. The elevator had graffiti on the wall, missing hand rails, and screws were exposed. Sand on many walking spaces in hallways and bathrooms.floors in bathrooms reaked of urine. In my room ,shower head was broken,leaking water through shower stall, toilet leaked sewage water, screen door in balacony was broken, glass top was missing, vent in bathroom did not work.cracks in ceiling. These are the conditions not worthy of the Name Riu. Why werent these situation taken care of before occupations. I was surprised by these failures. The cleaning staff did the best they could to provide some comfort, but putting towels around the floor does not resolve the issue. It looks like management has dropped the ball and I hope chages will be done to revive this Riu, very disapointed!!

The food was horrific and let’s not forget the roaches in my room. The service was awful, no one ever smiles at this resort. The only good thing about this resort was the beach. We will never go again. I’ll be going back to Palace or Excellence next Caribbean trip. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Riu.

The transportation took 4 hours from the Airport to the hotel, then on return, there was no return transportation for all 7 of us. The transportation system needs fixing

The only thing I didn't like was there's nothing to do after like 10 or 11pm. On vacation we like to have food options and clubs or pool after kids go to bed. It makes me only want to stay at adult only or secrets resorts. The staff was the best part! The food was great. Oh yeah the drinks choices were slim. I had no alcohol drinks while on property because I didn't have many options. Americans love Hennessy to drink !!!!

Stuff member are horrible very unfriendly and they make you feel like you working for them. The show five Star but they don't have room service so they cannot get five star The lying about that after 8:00 there's no food only in one bar and they only give you chips and cheese and microwave pizza all the restaurants are very poor in the food is horrible we're end up going to restaurant on the beach that not belong to the hotel and eat over there they alcohol is very cheap I wouldn't recommend this resort at all beware

My vacation was initially booked on November 14, 2023 for travel dates 12/21/2023-12/24/2023. At the time of booking I received my booking number (72701448709845). On the day of travel I had no issues with my flight or transportation from the airport. However, after a 4 hour flight from Chicago to Montego Bay and a 2 hour drive from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios, my son and I were exhausted and extremely jet lagged. I reached the front of the front desk only to be told there was no record of my reservation. I was completely shocked. I provided the worker my booking number, itinerary number, my passport, and credit card information used to book the vacation all to no avail. I was only told "have a seat, until the reservation department can look into it". No one can imagine my level of frustration. After a 12 hour travel day I simply wanted to get to my room, shower, and relax. After about an hour of waiting I approached the front desk again to inquire about my room and was told there was no update as of yet. I then proceeded to ask if I could just re-purchase the room on my credit card until my reservation was "found"? The response was "we don't know if any rooms are available and to call the reservation line to check". At this point I am frustrated beyond belief. As time progressed I started to feel Ill and vomited all over myself and the lobby (because of the jet lag). At no point did anyone o
