Great stay. Directly across the street from the archeological site and about a mile from the old section of Syracuse. The only thing it lacked was onsite, self-serve laundry facilities. Great roof top pool

Very large room. Excellent breakfast, courteous staff especially Umberto

Beautiful beach and view!

Hotel appears relatively new. Room was clean and the bathroom spacious and well-appointed. There was limited free parking onsite, which was nice. Breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is a bit off centre - about a 30 minute walk to Ortigina - which can be good, because it was quiet, but also not excellent when it's really hot. The staff was generally helpful - except in one instance when the bathroom ran out of soap. We asked for it and it took them two days - out of a four day stay - to deliver it. Not the end of the world, but not impressive.

good food, pool, but gym facilities were outdated and the hotel was a bit older in reality than what appeared online. A solid 3* nonetheless, not 4.

We selected this hotel because it is close to the Greek theatre. Unfortunately the free parking area is very little and we had always to park outside. For everything else, quite good.

Great location—across the street from the archeological park. Somewhat of a long walk to Ortigia but worth the effort. Several nice beaches in east driving distance.

It was a haven among the traffic & noise of busy Syracuse. We loved our stay there

We enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. It was clean, convenient and very close to the Greek ruins. The staff was helpful with directions and travelling advice.

The Mercure hotel is quite modern and fairly comfortable. The staff was very helpful as well and there is a nice rooftop bar. It is pretty far from the attractive part of Siracusa, and getting there required a 20-30 minute walk. Not a huge impediment but something to consider.

Location was great ,well designed, fabulous breakfast

6 min drive or 10 min nice walk from the Old town. Big, clean, comfortable room . Free parking. Nice pool on the roof

Not much to look at from the outside, but this is clearly a higher-end property. Well designed and spacious rooms. Great breakfast.

Staff was very professional. Breakfast was good. It was very easy to enter and leave the parking area. It was in walking distance of many iconic Siracusa sites.

Very nice hotel! We would stay again!

The people at reception were friendly and helpful and thankfully (for us) spoke great English! Umberto aka Bertie went above and beyond for Jackie and me. We asked him for and he made recommendations and reservations on our behalf for restaurants in Ortigia for both nights we were in Syracuse. And, he called taxis for us, too. We were very happy with his selections and his kindness to us. It made for a wonderful stay for us. Thank you. Marsha

very well located and overall a great hotel. pool size was smaller than expected. Nice bar and restaurant areas.

Great hotel. Very near the archaeological park and museum, as well as the catacombs and a supermarket. Excellent breakfast and nice rooftop pool. 20 minute-ish walk to Ortigia.

Very nice place. Close to the archeological places. Friendly staff.
2.0
Very basic for a such apparent modern hotel. The TV is behind a glass screen that creates reflections and you can not connect an HDMI

Everything was positive. One slight drawback for some might be it was a little dated and from the outside a boring building. Everything else compensates.

Great location near the Greek theatre and ear
of Dyonysus. Great breakfast. Nice view from the pool. Not long, but possible to swim short laps. Ortigya which you should visit is only a short taxi ride away.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean and beds comfortable. The swimming pool looks bigger than in the picture but it was still pleasant to use after a very hot day sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was good too.Hotel is perfectly situated next to the Greek Theatre but quite a long way from Ortigia centro, but worth the walk as Ortigia is stunning.

The area around the property is run down, has a very good gym for a hotel and else was fine.

First impression was not good, we thought we were in the middle of nowhere. However soon found we were PERFECTLY located. Room very small compared to many other 4-star and staff not willing to change but we got over it and made-do. All in all a good experience,

Location good for Greek thaetre and Roman Amphitheatre, although they were both disappointing. Room was small. Restaurant on 6th floor was a bit chaotic at breakfast time but choice was ok. Free parking was a bonus. Reception staff very helpful. Disappointed in Syracuse but Ortigia was very nice.

I love to use spa and fitness in the hotel. It was great facilities! All staffs are super friendly helpful. However I hate to say that the cleanness standard needs to be raised up! While we are staying, seems like they never vacuuming. Bit disappoint thing is bed sheets. I could find out someone hair or eyelashes... At least you can use sticky cleaner to clean couches and bed sheets and duvets.

Very clean, recent hotel. Right beside the archeology center. A little far for the old town 25 minutes walk or 15 Euro taxi ride.
2.5
Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, great service and nothing was too much trouble. Room was spacious and clean. Roof terrace and pool was nice during hot weather. Eating options around the hotel were very limited although hotel restaurant was good if you don’t want to walk down to Ortega.

Spent 3 nights here, good place to stay in Siracusa.
2.5
A clean, comfortable chain hotel directly across from the entrance to the Archaeological Park. Easy walking distance to the Ortygia and a very good fish trattoria.
2.0
Good location for archeological park and museum. Also great to see greek theater productions in park. All are walkable from hotel.

Really nice full service hotel, even laundry. Great location right across the street from the archaeological park and a quick drive to Ortygia. Off the street parking. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

I stayed here for ten days on holiday exploring Syracuse.
Some aspects of this hotel were excellent, namely: 1) The staff were all friendly and helpful; 2) the room was spotlessly clean; and 3) the air conditioning worked perfectly.
However, I have some complaints!
1) I had opted for a deal with breakfast included in the room rate. When I arrived, I was charged 10 euros a day extra for breakfast.
2) I had specifically selected this hotel because it appeared (from the grossly faked photo on the website) to have a proper swimming pool. When I arrived, it turned out to be not much more than a toddlers' paddling pool, only fit for a goldfish to manage any decent swimming.
3) The hotel doesn't offer a proper dinner menu, and since it's situated the other end of town from the tourist night life, there isn't much alternative choice.
But once again, full credit to the wonderful staff!
