The location of Hotel De Suede was fantastic in Nice. It was walkable to the beach and in a great neighborhood for food and shopping. It is a bit loud at night, but it does quiet down around 11PM. The staff were helpful, provided us with a fan for our room when the AC was not working to my satisfaction and they also provided towels for the beach (if you leave some Euros at the desk for return). Breakfast was satisfactory. The building is a bit run down. Just lots of little things that didn't work great in our room. One button of the toilet did not flush, we almost could not even get the shower to turn on, i had to use all my strength to start it the first time, the AC was full blast but barely working the first evening (it did get better i think they had a Tech address the building), one of our windows did not open fully, there are not many convenient plugs for users in the room. I believe they are about to have a remodel so perhaps next season it would improve. I will say the staff were all very kind and helpful and we did overall enjoy our stay. The convenience of the location outweighed any minor inconveniences.

We paid $563 for 2 nights, and overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
The location was excellent—walking distance to the beach and surrounded by plenty of shops, restaurants, and places to explore. It was very convenient for getting around and enjoying Nice.
The air conditioning was excellent, which was definitely appreciated after being out sightseeing. The room also had no carpet, which was a big plus for us, and everything felt clean and comfortable. The shower was good and worked well.
Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and the location was one of our favorite things about the hotel. A great base for exploring Nice!
